+1 and agreed about the "realistic" markers.  I want to smack those guys upside the head and say "DUDE!  Like, buy an AEG bro and leave the markers for the coloring books!"  To which they'd reply "Tight, but can I still wear my Fox Racing jersey, bro?"

Indeed. They spend alot making that whatever look like a real firearm, and it still retains its paintball look. I don't see the point. If i EVER see ANY airsofter wearing one of those jerseys i would STAB them, and bury their body, and use the jersey as a trophy, and....ah i won't continue ;).

Paintball:

Airsoft:

Paintball:

Airsoft:

See, there are advantages and disadvantages to each.  You can either wear ghey clothes and shoot paint from a plumbers implement and get the hot chicks, or use badass gear and go home alone at the end of the night.

Of course, some do both. ;)

I played paintball for a couple of years... it just became too much.  Too much cussing.  Too much bragging.  Too much gayness to handle.

I switched to airsoft because I liked the mil-sim aspect of it and I was told most of the people who played it were well, more mature than the pimple-faced paintball players.

In paint ball its like hey "I spent 1200 on my paint ball gun, and looks like all you got is some 200 dollar spider. So therefore I am a better paintballer cuz I gots the gear and the gun"!!! Its like pardon the expression my penis is bigger than your penis in paint ball. There game is so individulized, and everyone acts like there from Snobsdale!!!! not dissing everyone that lives there but you know the rich type!!!

Ice, airsofters do that to - "I spent $1000 on my AEG - HurricanE Metal Body w/ full trades, full Systema internals, Real Steel RAS, blah blah blah.  All you got is a stock TM MP5.  I better than you.  My AEG is shooting 399 FPS right now, gotta figure out how to get that extra 1 FPS out of it so I won't get out gunned by the bad guys..."

lol ya your right but I dont see it that much in Airsoft as compaired to Paintball. I was trying to get to the fact that you dont need a 1000 airsoft gun in order to compeat. Where in paint ball if your not paying that much than how can you compeat. In airsoft you can use a stock AK-47 beta and still kick some, even if your playing with people  that droped a grand on there gun. You dont need a 400fps gun to win. I personaly have a 1200 gun G&G RAS commando, and it does not improve my ability much more than my Classic army m15a4 accept that the Classic army mags dont load as well. Rate of fire and fps slightly different. Airsofters that go bla bla bla I have a better gun than you are usualy just an A.H.!!!  What generaly makes an airsofter better is his ability to perform and to get kills, not how big his gun is. You get different advantages for each gun, gear, and camo type. However, in paint ball you need the more expensive marker to win.

Tell me about it!

I carry a very simple set. A springer desert eagle, Electric UZI, and a Sinper acurrate M-15. Simple, not quite so expemsive, weapons set, but I still do well in a fight.

lol. We need to change the name of this topic to "why we hate paintball" or something.

I will admit that there is 1, yes, ONE, tiny thing I like about paintball more than airsoft . . . the sound. I like weapons to be loud. Adds to the effect. In my opinion, AEG's typically sound like typewriters on crack. I'd wish they'd make a little bit more of a "fump". Ok, you may now bring on all the witty comments  . . .  :D .

Well, from what i have seen, in airsoft it *somewhat* matters what you have, but not how much you spent on it. If you carry a springer, you will most likely be defeated by a gas blowback, or AEG. You're chances are much slimmer than with a AEG, or GBB. It may not matter if you are shooting hotter than your enemy, or what it looks like, but it does matter what type of gun you carry. It doesn't make you a better player just based on your gun, you might be able to kick serious ass with a springer...never seen it, but its possible i guess. But don't get into the mentality that you're better than someone else, becuase of how much you put into it.

Point taken Firehead, I'll just see how I measure up to you guys at AA before I say something like that again. But I do pride myself in my accuracy with my desert Eagle springer

However about what delta said about the noise, yes it may give a certain please to have the nice CO2 snap, and "fump" as he put it, but I think the experience compared to paint ball is far better.

Note to Delta: There is a new CO2 powered airsoft gun, fully automatic, desert eagle available at Shorty USA, it, is, awsome. But it's out of my price range right now.

Here's the link:(I seriously recommend everyone check this gun out)

I'm not trying to bash you, so don't  look at it like that.  You might be the first case of someone who does good with a springer. But on average, i have never seen someone last too long with a springer. Springers are fun little guns that usually look decent, fun to customize(painting, and such) and fun to just plink. Just save up your money, get a blowback, or an AEG, and you're good to go, and refrain from buying springers for now on :).

Wow I am going to run down to SAD tomorow and get me one of those gats! Especially because the two-tone paintjob will really blend in any AO! 8)
