My new Marushin M1 carbine (6mm)
« on: July 19, 2005, 02:19:31 AM »
This rifle is KICK ASS!, I got it in today, 2 days after it was shipped, thats awesome. The FPS is crazy, I think close or a bit over 500fps with green gas, and around 420 with 134a. Ill use 134a if green pushes it over. I am going to use this rifle as a scout rifle. I will use .28 BB's.

The fps scared me when the owner told me it went off in his house and went right through drywall, 10 ft away, with topgas, crazy!

I got it for $425 shipped off ebay.

Pictures:

The scope is a fixed 4x with R/G illumination:

I have 6 mags for it... Yeah, most ppl who have this gun have a hard time finding them, they just fall into my path I guess.. one of mine is in Spazz's posession.

I plan on getting some custom work done on it, I made a thread about it a bit ago, threaded outer barrel, 6.03 inner barrel, stuff like that, I got the scout rail in and im working on that right now.
Scout rail:

But I dont think im going to stick on an aimpoint, I want an eotech for this rifle.

I have some parts on the way, like a better butt plate, adds 1 inch and has better grip... this one slides right off my shoulder.
I would like to get the real steal front sight, because I have the real steal rear sight.. but the sight is $10, not bad.. but the tool to put on the sight is like $36, and the tool to take it off is about $35.. So I dont know about that...

What do ya think? :-D

I could say alot of things right now...but I will refrian, for I am mature. Justin, the gun is kickass..more so than I thought when you first told me about getting the M1 carbine "what?? An m1? how...lame..". Well it looks good and Im eager to get a few shots off with it soon! If you cant find someone to turn you a custom inner barrel, let me know if you think another kind can be modified I think the same person that cut my m40 barrel could do it.

It was once believed that Chuck Norris actually lost a fight to a
pirate, but that is a lie, created by Chuck Norris himself to lure more pirates to him. Pirates never were very smart.

LOL, yeah, thanks guys, this rifle was a great find. Yeah Andy, thanks for helping me find that kick ass scope! Its like... a mini one of yours.. and the same price too, lol. And how accurate? Im not too sure right now, I was going to test that out front, but it got too dark, but it hit the wall that was about 200 ft away with no problem (with green and .25)

I wonder how hard it would shoot if you cycled some red gas through it.
BTW, I saw you at JT the other day Justin.

NEW MODIFICATION!

Yeah. I got the rail on, I had to do a little custom work (custom = go crazy with the dremel). Here are some pics

Sorry about the bad pics.. Cell phone camera, you know how it is. (if you dont, you do now..)

Next!.. threaded outer barrel with suppressor. Any ideas on a suppressor to add to this?
