Ummmm.... none...

Not sure why.  So many people want a fun, well organized pistol shoot, and when one appears, they are hesitant to sign up.

Hey all,

A reminder that entrants need to pre-register for this event.

A minimum of 25 entrants are needed or else the event will be canceled due to lack of interest, which is odd considering many people I’ve talked to have wanted such a pistol competition.

This will be a fun, challenging shoot, something worth attending.  Register today, details in the first post!

I don't mean this as a flame, but I'm willing to bet that near all Phoenix/Tuscon area members of this board are not willing to drive 6+ hours and pay a $25 entrance fee to compete in an airsoft shooting competition, where the highest prize possible is a $100 gift card.  But I don't blame you guys for advertising to us.

And this, my friend, is why I smirked when I read the post.

I know you guys are having a hard time finding members to join this contest, but maybe it's because of your pricy entry fee and not so pricy prize?

Yuma is only a 2 hour drive from SD (I have made it quite a few times) so you can't blame him for trying. Also remember, there is a few of us in Ca that are on AA for various reasons.

That being said IDPA style shooting should be done with the real thing not airsoft guns, just out of preference.

Due to lack of interest, this competition is canceled in its current format.  When we reschedule this event, it will coincide with Code Red's grand opening of their "Quad City" area, date to be determined.  Essentially, the grand opening will be a big deal, with this pistol course thrown in as a freebie side event.  If you go to the grand opening, bring your pistol and mags as well.  Swing by the registration table, sign up, then run through the course.  It'll be a free side event, with top shooters getting modest prizes.

And yes, real steel would have been much more fun.  I wanted to say it, but I know that there are kids on this forum and didn't know how people would react.
