Storing a Rifle For A Period of Time.
« on: December 30, 2008, 06:29:02 PM »
What would be the best way to keep an airsoft rifle, for a long period of time, around 2+ years. i was thinking of just keeping it in the case and storing it in the closet? Is there any other better idea?

Maybe throw a couple of Silica Gel packs in there to keep out moisture. After 2 years you may need to check the rubber components. Probably will need to open the gearbox and re-grease it too.

Keep in it a case to keep the dust out.  If moisture is a concern, put some desiccant in there.  When you get back, fire it and see what happens.  If it needs work, it needs work.

We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Anchor from the Navy, and the rope from the Army. On the 7th day, while God rested, we overran his perimeter and stole the Globe, and we\'ve been running the show ever since.
