Curtis, we have been taking a break.  I had to threaten Kyle to come back with me, and I will drag him out to a game every now and then.

Actually, me, Kyle, and Howrangi (Mike) are starting up the old Team ORION, complete with ACU uniforms and G36 based guns.  Hope to see you at a game.

Doc,

I can get you some from military clothing on the base.  What color do you want...black, tan, or green?  I do not remember the exact price, but it is not too much.

I do have a new box of black, it is in a 12" X 4" strip, both hook and loop strips.

My CA G36K works just fine and is built like a tank.  Full teflon cylinder, PDI 170 spring, and 355mm barrel chrono at 398-400 fps.

I got my order today @ 1300.  3 days from Hong Kong, that is a record for me!

For an update, I just checked the tracking page and it cleared customs, it also shows that it is in transit.  I just don't remember HK shipping being this fast.  AEX took longer than this!

So far, no complaints about WGC (like I ever had one).  They even added two additional items to the order after I paid them for the first quote, all without extra shipping charges and they did it over the weekend.

I used the regular Speedpost express shipping.  Let's keep our fingers crossed!

By the way, it was not a gun, just some very important parts.

If it's a 1900mAh mini, it's most likely a NiMH.

I've found that NOT discharging this type of pack will give it longer life.

For this, use a peak charger.  There is no way to determine how long to charge a partially-charged pack on a wall charger.  Spend the money on a TLP charger of DuraTrax Intellipeak and it will pay off in the long run.

That is why I asked if it was NiCd or NiMh.  I only had one NiMh battery before, and it was recommended that you do not discharge them all the way.  I was referring to the NiCd batteries in my above post.  Thanks for clearing it up.

General Airsoft Discussion / WGC Shipping Time

This is for the ones who have ordered from WGC or other HK retailers recently:

I placed and order with WGC and it shipped out on 25 JUL, arrived in the states today, and here is the tracking page info:

Posting Date Posting Time   Drop-off Point   Destination   Destination
Post Code *
25-Jul-2005 20:19   Pick Up Service   United States of America   85335

Date # Location   Delivery Status
25-Jul-2005 Hong Kong   Item posted and is being processed.
25-Jul-2005 Hong Kong   Processed for departure.
25-Jul-2005 Hong Kong   Departed.
26-Jul-2005 United States of America   Arrived and is being processed.
26-Jul-2005 United States of America   Handed over to the Customs Office for clearance.

The big question...will I get it by Friday?  It has been so long since I ordered from Hong kong, I don't know how quick this will be.

Positive threading is clockwise, like a bottle top.  Negative threading is counter-clockwise, just the opposite of a bottle top.

Is the battery NiCad or NiMih?

The discharger is actually good for the battery.  Make sure you completely discharge it, let it cool, and then give it a good, full charge on a slow (trickle) charger; the 200-300Mah chargers are the best.  The fast or quick chargers will eat up a battery in the long run.

However, if you are giving the battery a full charge, using it very little, and then discharging it (often), you could cause some cell damage.  Try to use most of the battery's juice before putting a discharger on it.

So far, it looks like Florence and the 4 Peaks/Bushnell Tank areas are at the top of the list.

Busta, I am more Old School than you realize  8)

Thanks for the input, spread the word and keep the votes coming in.

Dpends on where you live as far as easy access..but.. Avra Valley, Florence, 4 peaks, Jomax, and of course the all time bestest AO ever!....OG BT!

By easy access, I meant getting into the area.  Bushnell tanks can tear a car up sometimes.

Where is 4 Peaks and what is OG BT?

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Favorite Game Areas

I have been away from airsoft for a while, so I need to play catch-up on some of the newer (if any) gaming areas.

Please list here your favorite areas, and try to limit it to your top 2 or 3.  Take into consideration the playing area, ease of access, distance, etc; whatever made the place tops on your list.  And yes, it should only be places that we can still hold games at.  If I have to hear one more story about the abandoned hotel we got to play in once...I am going to cry.

OK, let 'er rip!

You boys had better be nice to Howrangi and treat him right.  If not, I will hunt all of you down!

He and I will be coming to the game on 30 JUL.
