It's not a feature. These are gas operated guns, which are not effected in the same way as an AEG. Gas blowback guns operate on the principle of compressed gas or air pushing the bb out of the gun and cycling as a result of that gas pressure. An AEG is succeptable to shorting out from water because of the electric feature, as well as getting into the moving parts, gearbox, etc. Some guns, AEG, or GBB are sealed better than others.

it's awesome. however dont try this on a blowback airsoft pistol. did it awhile back and the slide just kept blowing off. and prepare to clean your gun of all water. rust...
