question about KJW MK1 Carbine
« on: June 11, 2005, 05:31:07 PM »
Ok, I just bought the above mentioned gun from JT today, and I've got a really noob question...  I can't figure out how to cock it.     Help?

Also, Dusty said that the mags were the same for the Sniper version (the one I got) and the other versions, but the second one he gave me doesn't seem to fit.  Is it a problem with that specific one, or are they not the same after all?

Uh...didn't know you had to cock it at all... If you would there are two tabs on the back, grab those, and pull back.

Dunno why the mag won't fit...maybe you are doing it wrong. The mags do work for both the rifle version, and the pistol version, but you might wanna go back and exchange it if the mag refuses to work.

Err yeah... I just came back this soon because I figured it out... You don't have to cock it after all. You've just gotta pull the trigger really far. ;)

And I'm pretty sure I'm not doing the mag wrong, the one that came with it fits fine, it's just the second one that *supposedly* fits.

*wanders off to try and fix his cheap scope*

Another newbie question: How long should I hold the gas on it? 5 seconds? 10?

When I had mine, I'd fill it til it started to shoot back out.  ~4 seconds.

i have the mk1 rifle 2, about the mag not fitting.... i had the same problem, the hop up(it is adjusted by the little hole at the top of the gun right b4 the barrel is extended out) anyway, look and see if u see a goldish-bronze color that u can fit an allen wrench in2(thats the hop up), u will need a flash light 2 locate it because its small if u see it right away and its in the center of the hole, then that isnt the prob, if u dont see it, it means that it was loose and is stuck back so the mag wont go in, and if the mag is in it wont come out, trust me ive tried pulling it, and the part connected 2 the hopup snapped and i basically had 2 get all new parts

Its a Non Blow Back pistol (also the Carbine version)no cocking. Long trigger pull.
The mags will work in both guns.
hop up does not effect mag going in, unless for some reason the barrel is stuck back (the barrel moves forward and back to chamber BBs) which can be caused by hop up, but that would cause other problems before mags not fitting.
