Echo 1 Ak-47 Help
« on: May 29, 2009, 04:27:12 PM »
So my gun just randomly decides when it wants to work on semi-auto.
It works fine on Fully-auto but when i change it to Semi-auto i would only be able to shoot about 3-4 times before it wouldn't let me shoot anymore.
Anyone know whats wrong?

Oh, one more thing.
How can i make my guns Rpm faster(How can i make my gun shoot faster)?

For the semi auto problem something may be wrong with you selector switch.  After you shoot 3-4 rounds does it stop shooting completely? do you still hear the gearbox turn over? or is just not shooting out bbs.  And to get the rpm or rof (rate of fire) faster you can upgrade your battery to either a nimh 9.6v or something like an 11.1 lipo which should help dramatically.  You could also put a new motor in but getting an upgraded battery is the way most people go.   I dont know if you have tried gearbox yet but if you cant get it figured out just take it to them and you they should have it fixed in no time (4803453575)

After i do shoot 3-4 rounds i hear the gearbox turn over but nothing comes out.

so just the battery determiners my rof? nothing with my internals?

well the higher the voltage on the battery the more current gets to the motor which makes the motor turn faster which makes the gun shoot more rounds a second.  a 9.6v battery would have a faster rof than an 8.4v battery.  But internals also effect the rof of your gun.  One of the main things is the motor that is in your gun, if you go with an upgraded motor but stick with the same battery you wouldnt get a faster rof than if you were to go with an upgraded motor and with an upgraded battery.  But personally I just went with a 9.6v battery which did plenty for my rof.  and if your gun still turns over but doesnt shoot out bb's you could have a feed problem.  try a different magazine if you can. And maybe try to fire it on semi, then once it stops firing, turn the gun upside down and try to fire it again and see if a bb comes out.  If it does then it is mostly likely a feeding issue

It was the battery.
I went to gearbox and they just tried a new battery and that fixed everything and increased my rof.
Thanks
