Anyone know M-14 gearboxes?
« on: December 14, 2009, 12:49:45 AM »
I'm having issues with my Kart M-14 EBR jamming.  Its been like this ever since I took it out in October but I thought I just needed some better BB's, but after getting some better ones, I'm still having issues with it.  I'm thinking it could be the hop up even though I've tried turning that all the way down and still I get nothing, or sometimes one shot and then it goes back to dry-firing.

Replace the hop up rubber and get back to us.  The only other explanation would be a worn tappet plate which would not allow BB's to feed, but thats different than jamming...

Okay so I checked the hopup bucking and it is just fine.  Flipped it upside down and it actually gravity feeds better than it does from the mags... Perhaps its something with the mags?  I cant imagine it being the tappet plate because I havent even put 500 bbs through the gun...

next i'd check the magazine you're using- swap it and try it again. then think about whether it's possible that you have the gearbox set in weird?? i don't work on m-14's though so

With clones, anything is possible.  What magazines are you using?  I never had luck with TM M14 magazines in my TM M14 or for that fact any luck getting any of them to feed.

Possible yes, but I've seen working KART's before, could be a lemon, yes, but the issue should be easy to resolve being as there are only so many parts that affect the feeding of the gun.
