AEG Mag issue
« on: June 07, 2010, 05:20:41 PM »
My MAG M4 mags are having an issue, it seems that everytime I load them up the bb's stack up side to side instead of vertical like they are suppose to. I think it might be because I havent lubed them in awhile or all my speed loaders have crapped out. Any suggestions?

That's what I was thinking but I was wondering if there were any other factors.

well try lubing them up, if that doesn't solve your problem then you can investigate other routes.. i have a feeling that will fix it

Are they side to side like ::::: or are they at a diagonal like //////. IF they are ::: then you may have a more serious issue like the inside of the mag is broken or worn out. Not much to be done because if I recall mag mags are glued together and can't be worked on like a TM or other mag could (not that if you had broken plastic parts in a mag could you fix it anyway).

Its more diagonal but now I think its now the speedloader because I tried my friends speedloader and it didnt have the problem.

You know I never understood by what people say by lubing your mags.  Just how do you do that? Do you have to take em apart or what? And do you have to use a special kind of lube?

Basically it's just using pure silicone spray to lube them up. It's a good band-aid, but never recommended to use over and over. Lubing too much can collect dirt, and here in AZ that will be inevitable anyways.

Basically, get some silicone spray, and spray a few small shots in the hole you load your BBs into. I'd, personally, only recommend it if you needed to make a quick fix if your mags jammed in the field due to dirt.
