That's good to hear.  Thanks for the update.

Also, did I hear something about another benefit game later on, or was that just gibberish?

I will be there with three or so.  Green.

I know I'm a bit late here, but I figured it couldn't hurt.  I use those Pocket Vortex footballs and Madbull Stingers in my AG-36, and I can get some pretty good distance from them.  On a hot day, I've launched them farther than my AEG could shoot with propane (about the same as green gas).  However, when it's cold out, propane can be a bit unpredictable and unreliable;  I'm pretty sure C02 would be a lot more stable at lower temperatures, though.

And as far as practicality goes, I've found them useful almost every time I use my G-36.  It can really help at Fightertown sometimes.

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Question on importing from Ehobbyasia
« on: December 07, 2011, 08:33:02 PM »
The last GBB I ordered from China with trademarks came wraped in foil and sealed, and the trademarks were intact.

I know Ehobbyasia has been known to tape or paint over the trademarks, but it's usually removable without damaging the replica.  Remember, they do this every day.

Just keep your eyes on the classifieds if you want to find a cheap KWA.  They tend to turn up every couple of months or so.

In my opinion, I like Tokyo Marui GBB pistols the best.  All of the ones I have used have been excellent in terms of both performance and reliability.  They can throw bb's nearly as far as many AEG's, and they tend give very consistent groupings without upgrades.  Although they are mostly plastic, they don't usually break due to their plastic construction under normal usage (now, if you were to drop one from above your head onto concrete, it may be another story).  But, in the case they do break, there are usually replacement/upgrade parts readily available, too.

Also, if you're looking for a non-blowback, TM is pretty much the best way to go.

Not to say that KWA isn't a good brand.  They are excellent, high quality, great performing replicas that come with excellent customer support.

A spring pistol won't do you much good, especially at outdoor games.

You will definately want to go with a gas pistol.  CO2 is inconvienent at times, and it's more expensive to buy the canisters than it is to buy green gas or propane is.  I'd recommend a blowback green gas pistol, they are usually easier to find parts for and are much more realistic than non-blowback ones.  If you look around on the classifieds section here, you could probably pick one up for cheap, too.

Troubleshooting / Re: Issue with my S&T G36K
« on: November 18, 2011, 12:08:27 AM »
I've never heard of that brand before, but if it has a motor-trim adjustment screw (usually found on the bottom of the pistol grip), you should try adjusting it.  It sounds like that's the problem.  If it was working fine and suddenly began to do this, then something must have caused it.

It could also have been caused by an increase in electrical resistance, so check your wiring to make sure there are no cuts or tears, make sure your fuse is seated correctly, and (if you are competent to remove your gearbox) check your trigger switch.

Other items for sale... / Anyone Interested in an HTC Evo?
« on: October 31, 2011, 08:05:20 PM »
Pretty much copy/pasted from my Craigslist posting:

I just got a great deal on an Evo 3D, so I no longer need this phone.

***FOR THOSE WORRIED ABOUT ROOTED PHONES: It is LEGAL, and Sprint's insurance WILL still cover your phone REGARDLESS OF ROOT OR SOFTWARE MODIFICATIONS! If you are still uneasy about this, contact me and I'll provide you with accurate information confirming this (there's no need to make this posting even longer). We'll be completing the transaction at a Sprint store, anyway. You can ask the staff there before you buy it.

*Flashing to Boost Mobile or Cricket will cost extra! Flasing Boost Mobile will cost more than Cricket! You can also just keep using it on Sprint, it has a clean ESN.

*Price is negotiable! Send me an offer, the worst I will can say is no (unless you give me a hard time).

The phone is in perfect working order; it's got a clean ESN, it has been rooted and has a recovery image, and all its hardware works flawlessly. It is currently running MIUI version 1.09.09 (I can update to 1.10.28 if you really want) with the 2.6.37.6-cyanogenmod kernel, and it has Revolutionary's recovery image flashed as well. Over the stock Sense ROM/Kernel, the phone achieved exactly a 50% performance increase in 3D games, and the battery life almost tripled. The software upgrades allow for previously restricted functions such as PS3 controller connectivity through Bluetooth (two-player Mortal Kombat, anyone?), ad blockers for applications, customizable boot screens and lock screens, superuser access, free third-party wireless tethering (wi-fi broadcasting), and many more cool and practical features (I'm not kidding). I can also flash the stock ROM or any other Evo 4G-compatible ROM/kernel/recovery image if you wish. I have backups which I'll include on a CD, and I should be able to email you them if you misplace the CD. I will be willing to resolve any problems with the software for you as long as you haven't changed any of it after the sale (partly because I know you won't have a problem). I may also be able to flash to Cricket or Boost Mobile for an extra fee.

I know what I'm doing, I'm not some kid who just saw a guide on how to root his Evo online and loosely followed the directions. This phone is stable and the hardware hasn't been fried from rediculous overclocking (as a matter of fact, I usually keep it underclocked). I understand this software and know how to implement it correctly, unlike many others who root and flash their Android phones.

If the above information is gibberish to you, in short, I have reprogrammed the software on this phone to allow it to perform drastically faster while simultaneously marginally increasing the battery life and given the home screen many more personalization settings.

Let's start with the bad:
-It has seen its fair share of drops, so the plastic around the corners is a bit rough
-The kickstand is a little bit loose
-The screen has a single hairline crack in the lower left quarter (it's not spiderwebbed, and it doesn't affect functionality at all)
-The currently installed ROM does not support 4G (It doesn't matter because WiMax 4G is virtually nonexistent in Phoenix, and I can flash the stock ROM back onto it if you want)

Now, on to the good:
-The phone works perfectly
-The software modifications bumped my 3D benchmark from 14FPS to 21FPS (Nenamark 1)
-It benchmarks at around 2500 in AnTuTu
-The battery life nearly tripled thanks to the custom ROM and kernel
-It has a clean ESN
-It's rooted
-All apps on the Android market work
-I might be able to throw in an extra battery for cheap

I'm asking $180 OBO for you guys, which is fair given how well it works and compared to the average price these are going for on Craigslist. You can text me any time at (6O2) 46O-3644 or email me, but don't call me (I usually don't pick up if I don't know the number). We will meet at a Sprint store for the final transaction if you are going to use it on Sprint. I'll have pictures up soon, or you can find my ad; just search "Evo 4G White Rooted Clean ESN (Can Flash to Boost or Cricket!)" on Craigslist Phoenix.

I can't help but laugh when I remember this one.

One time at Fightertown, I managed to launch a Nerf football over the fence they have and hit a guy in the staging area who had just shown up with his friend in the face, knocking off his shades.  Funny part was that the Nerf bounced under their truck after hitting the one guy, so neither he nor his buddy knew what hit him.  Luckly, he was a good sport about it, and we shared a laugh.

What I learned: Never disregard the warm-up effect on airsoft grenades.

Troubleshooting / Re: More WE tech g39c issues
« on: August 14, 2011, 02:16:38 PM »
I'm also having problem's with my WE G39c. Where it actually doesn't fire at all or if it does the gas doesn't release a continues blast.  :'(

Are you saying it doesn't release enough gas to cycle correctly or that it doesn't dump what's left in the magazine when it does fire?

It sounds like it could be the firing pin or something in the hammer mechanism.  Have you taken it down, cleaned it, and checked to make sure all the springs and other components are seated properly?
