East valley or anyone close to Gilbert/Mesa area
« on: December 13, 2011, 11:49:05 AM »
id like to get a feel for how many airsofters are in the east valley. i know theres an East valley airsoft forum but that thing is dead. im going to be finally having some time to airsoft now but i see that most games are 1 hour + away from where i live... not very appealing to drive 2+ hrs both ways for 4 maybe 5 hours of gameplay.

if there are other forums that can cater to east valley players, please refer me

Well, I'm south Scottsdale - the cusp of the EV, I guess. I think you're out of luck with forums specifically for that area. But there's gotta be some people who want to scout some outdoor AOs on this side.

This topic seems to be something that keeps coming up.
There are legal places on USFS land within 45 mintues to an hour drive time from most parts of the East Valley.
Driving is part of Airsoft.. Deal with it
if you don't wanna drive there's always Vanguard.
For the sake of all the other airsofters that don't want to see an outright ban on airsoft please make sure you're playing on land that is legal to be on in the first place.

Yeah i understand driving is a part of airsoft, but when i have gas to pay for i dont always want to "deal with it". and i know there are fields out here, my main question is who the hell is out here to have a game with. no  point in going out to these fields if i have no one to go with. yeah there is always vanguard if i want to pay $20 to play with some 10 year olds.

and i am well aware of the legalities of this sport. no need to assume im just some 16 year old punk who just picked up his first JG M4 from airsplat

Im in Mesa, been playing for about 6-7 years. Got a bunch of friends that play also... We have the same problem as you: either drive an hour away or go waste money at vanguard to play with little kids.

Vanguard seems like a pretty crappy field, and I also prefer outdoor play.

Look at it this way -the kiddies can't drive, so having a game out at the TNF or SASCO keeps them away.

There are three saguaro team members that live out in the east valley. But we don't  mind driving if it means we get to play with our team. I don't see the big deal about driving.

yeah i don't see the big deal is either. I mean i give up to hatfield to play with you guys all the time. and that's like a 35min drive for me. going up to mesa/gilbert is like the same maybe a little bit longer for me.
