Agreed, on both points.
I was pleased with the performance of our players. Being detached from the main force for the majority of the weekend, I had but a glimpse into how things went. From what little I saw, however, the AZ players had good communication, practiced good field craft and tactics, and possessed good stamina. The latter being one of the most important traits a player can have at LC.
There isn't a group of guys anywhere I'd rather play with; you guys really are among the best in the national airsoft community.
My legs are killing me.
Where the pics at?

I will post some more thoughts later..maybe.
I just want to say that even though not as many people from Arizona were at Lion Claws as I would've liked, those that were carried themselves appropriately, and with distinction, as has come to be expected.
There is a long, illustrious tradition associated with this state's airsofting community, one of quiet professionalism, aptitude and decorum. This state's airsofting community has and will continue to succeed and excel through embodying these traits.
The trend in airsoft is towards lame, poseur behavior and yelling a lot. To that, I say, nous defions.

I hope that particular group guys will, some how, get eyes on the big picture after a little more exposure to the national airsoft community.

This was a real good time.
For those that wanted to go, you should have.

First off, I'd like to say that I felt Arizona kicked ass. Platoon command was great, and it was great to get the experience. Vince thanks for the effort you displayed to make sure everyone was getting trigger time and having fun. Now as a whole I'm not sure which experience was more useful and memorable, the games play or Kilo's IED's  it was a pleasure fellas and I'm hoping that the future of airsoft can still be enjoyable even for those who have done it for 10+ years. Maybe BGA can make some cool shit happen :)
P.S. azsarge I'm glad I'm not the only one whose legs are dead :D/
Thanks again guys.

I had a great time this weekend.
At first, I was nervous about leading a squad but now I'm really glad I got a chance to do it. It was a great experience and I thank those in platoon command and the awesome dudes in my squad for that.
LCIX was full of memorable moments for me, both in play and at camp(thanks KILO).
A word of advice to everyone: If you're ever sitting in a camp full of airballers and something heavy hits your foot and starts hissing, DO NOT pick it up.
We have a really cool group of guy here in Arizona and I'm glad I get to run around and shoot toy guns with them ever now and then.
Oh, and +1 for sore legs. It's a good kinda hurt!

Ya it was a fun weekend. Vince you did a good job keeping people on task. I've been to enough Fubar LC's to know that winning stems from having leadership that communicates well what needs to be done.
Sorry I couldnt fight sunday, but I'm still limping. A word to the wise, don't try to keep up with a 10th mountain soldier on a mountain, after twisting your ankle. . .
But I loved every miniute of it!
-
While I ended up on the opposing side; I will say of all the 10th Mtn groups you guys were the most stand up group out there. It was nice meeting the few of you I did on the field.
This was the Best Lionclaws i have been to yet!
Thank you everyone.

Well, the points are in: http://www.oplionclaws.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3176 (http://www.oplionclaws.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3176)
Apparently we accomplished nothing after the first scenario.
I find it hard to take this point system seriously.
-
I know that there was a few objectives that were left unattended at the end of the first day.
-
Fubar at the end of day 1 that's for sure. I personally know we had 2 of those objectives all day long but can't attest for the last the last 15 mins of the day. I've realized long ago that the points system is never worth shit. You never know what objective/task is worth so as to know how to effectively deploy your people anyways. All I know for certain is that 1st plt rolled the opposing team off every objective we encountered. Good job 1st Plt!
-
I feel, for some reason, that we were given an earlier endex time than Alpha.
-
so where was this held at?
-
It says Hesperia, but it's really Pinion Hills which is right next to Hesperia.
-
cool cool i know exactly where that is...
