Single action pistols like that are intended to be cocked and locked before holstering.  Then you won't have to put your thumb over the slide when you do holster it.  When you say the slide is loose is sounds like you mean it actually slides to easily.  Remember it's only an airsoft gun and doesn't have a 20lb spring in it like a real steel gun would.

Yankee, if you're carrying in a game, I would advise you to carry on Cond. 1, unless you're real fast on the draw, and have plenty of muscle memory built in to make sure you remember to chamber a round before you roll! That was the beauty of the SV I used to have. In Cond. 1, it was dang fast out, and once you've got the grip angle added into your memory, you basically just raise your arm, and your sights are all lined up on target. [] I need to save up and get another 1911.

Right, sounds good.  Part of the reason I picked up a 1911 (single stack for that matter) for my airsoft sidearm is to work on muscle memory on the draw.

I just purchased one of these beauties and I'm quite happy with it.  Looks pretty spectacular, but theres one thing that bothers me;  the slide is very loose on the gun.  Seeing as this is my first WA pistol, I dont know if this is something I need to concern myself with or if its just a matter of it having been designed that way for faster blowback.  My 1911 holsters that I plan on using with the gun are the type that are stiff enough that when I holster the gun, I have to place my thumb over the slide to keep it in place while placing the gun into the holster.  I don't want to get into a habit of doing this, but if the slide is that loose by design, I guess I'll live with it.  Any imput would be appriciated.
