Hello,

My friends and I are looking to start talking to people about forming a squad to go with to Blacksheep's Camp Navajo Milsim game in October. We have three people confirmed with two more as a maybe and we are in for Alpha Company (Green side). Meet up times will have to be worked out later. We are just looking to try and start working with people who would be interested in forming a squad so that we have better unit cohesion going into the game. We live in Tucson but we've been going to the SASCO games and are planning on going to Strawberry later on in the month. Obviously, if you live in Phoenix it will be difficult to get meetings in with any kind of regularity but that doesn't mean it can't be done. I will also be posting this to the Tucson Airsoft Coalition FB and temp forum (just mentioning for transparencies sake).

As I said we currently have three members with two more unconfirmed. We will need six more people to form a proper squad. A proper squad is composed of two fire teams and a squad leader. Each fire team is comprised of two pairs of battle buddies and a team leader. Leadership positions for the squad will be figured out at a later date. The squad will need one more person with a SAW and two members to fill the grenadier role (either M203/equivalent or a shotgun). Our squad will be running in M81 Woodland uniforms. Gear colors doesn't matter, just make sure you've got or can get a hold of some form of woodland BDUs.

That is all I can think of for now. If you have questions or are interested just reply to this post. :) Thanks

Anyone know of any MilSim games in April to plan for? I think I may have developed an addiction...

General Airsoft Discussion / What counts as a support weapon?
« on: February 05, 2015, 04:47:33 PM »
So, what exactly counts as a support weapon or SAW for milsim? I've been looking at various Wikipedia articles and some of the USMC AR gunners are using the new M27 IAR which looks suspiciously like an M4 and uses the STANAG 30rnd magazine (though it has been tested with the Armatac SAW-MAG 150rnd drum mag). According to Wikipedia, the USMC has been pursuing this change in AR tactics so that it is more difficult for the enemy to recognize and concentrate fire on the fireteam's support gunner. Not only that but the smaller platform is more mobile and lighter-weight than the M249, so the squad can go out on longer missions without the AR gunner tiring out as quickly. (All this info is taken from the wiki article and other links that I've read from that article.)

So, back to my question, seeing as this M27 is really just a spec'd out HK416 which is really just a modified M4, if one were to spec out their M4, both internally and externally, to look the part of this M27, should that constitute a support gun for MilSim games? I am curious to see what the community thinks on this one :)

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / WTT/WTS KWA Mags
« on: December 31, 2014, 05:30:28 PM »
Hello,

I have 6 KWA Tan 120rnd M4 Mid-Cap magazines. They have been very lightly used. I live in the Tucson area so if interested and you live in Phoenix, perhaps we can trade at the next SASCO game. Obviously I am willing to trade locally.

Stuff I would like to trade for:
M3 multishot pump shotgun (must be in good, working condition)
A decent rail-mounted flashlight w/ working pressure switch
1pt sling that can convert to a 2pt sling - something like magpul MS2 multi-mission sling
Some kind of helmet compatible comms headset dunno exactly what I'm looking for on this one but maybe make an offer :)
CO2 mags for a KJW 1911

If not then I would accept around $50 for the set. Buyer pays for shipping if necessary. Price is not firm.

The reason I am getting rid of them is because I have a G&G Combat Machine M4 Tan R.I.S. When I bought them I ignored the reviews that said they don't feed well with combat machines and guess what? They don't feed well in combat machines. I have tried to put Electrical tape around them to help but they still don't do well. Too much wobble. I can only use semi auto with them and cannot fire too quickly either without misfeeds.

Edit: Updated and clarified area where I live :)
