Upgrading a CA M15A4
« on: March 24, 2009, 04:28:34 PM »
I have a completely stock CA M15A4. I just wanted to improve the FPS and range of the gun and I already have a TB barrel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Throw in a slightly stronger spring. Bore-up kits are nice too. It all depends on how much you want to spend.

That and how much fps you want boosted lol

For accuracy and range, pick up a Systema bucking and a SCS.  SCS (Shredder's Concave Spacer) is like a perfected H nub and works much much better than the E1 (element) H nub set I have.  It not only gives tighter groupings and more range, but it also boosts the fps a bit.

They can be purchased here, just call to order.  They are like 8 bucks shipped

FPS doesn't have much of an effect on range, the barrel, bucking, nub, and hop up effect the range the most.  Definitely upgrade the hop up area first.

I believe CAs have 7mm solid bushings?  I would throw in some 7mm bearings (not needed), a ball bearing spring guide, a Guarder SP110 (gives about 380 fps, perfect for AZs limits), a Systema bucking, and a SCS.  You will be amazed how well the SCS works.  (I suggest Systema because the creator of the SCS says it works best with Systema/Guarder buckings)

hope this helps.
