KAC PDW with internal battery?
« on: December 06, 2009, 09:42:01 PM »
I was interested in a KAC PDW but it comes with an external battery in a PEQ box.  I see a few companies that show the battery inside the rail, but they do not show how the mod is done or how to fit the battery.

Anyone have experience with this?

All you have to do is use a sufficiently small battery and just swap out the mock gas tubes for a battery.

If this is yours could you please take a pic with the rail removed?

What size/type battery is suggested for this?

Thanks

You can't remove the rail, it's a monolithic upper.  As far as battery goes, that's a 7.2v 900mah LiPo battery designed for Blade RC helicopters.

So does the upper/lower separate from each other and the battery is fitted there?
Any diagrams/videos that you know of?
Would the battery be sufficient for a full day with decent life and RoF?

I like the platform, but if it is going to be tough to live with I might have to look in another direction.

Thanks for your replies so far Xavier.

No, you unscrew the barrel and pull the barrel/gas block assembly out the front.  Decent life and RoF is a relative term.
