Possible custom gun project?

So I'm a huge avid gamer, have been ever since I was a child. I am a huge fan of the Killzone franchise in particular even though I only own Killzone 3 (rented/borrowed the others). My favorite gun in there is the M82 assault rifle and thought to myself "I wonder if people have custom made this rifle into airsoft". Sadly I haven't found anything.



So I started thinking in my head what could be done to get a similar make. So here is what I was brainstorming.

I was thinking for the base gun being the L85



Reason is because of the barrel length, sadly one of the only real reasons I have. It does have a particular familiar feel between both. So here is my brainstorm of how to make it as authentic to the game as possible:

-L300 handguard
-custom rail on the bottom of hanguard to fit a flashlight
-taped stanags
-eotech
-SR-16/S-system style flip up sight


kind of like this (looks like crud in the program)

I don't have the budget, patience for possible failure, or skill to try this (at the moment) but maybe in the future I will

What do you guys think?

It's only burst fire if you have the suppressed version (still don't get why the heck its burst with the suppressed but okay). Rate of fire is still automatic with the M82

Actually after I hit enter I thought about it. How about one of those burst wizards or avocado mosfets then get a flashider with a QD suppressor? So you can have the auto then if you want an SD you just pop that baby on and turn on the wizard or whatever and bam

looks like a bullpup FNC to me. Especially the front end, its almost identical to an FNC

well really THE M82 is a combination of the LR300 and SA oh wait i mean L85 weapon systems.  now all we needs is a A&K Lr 300 forward and upper combined with a  G&G L85 or ICS Model. " all i am gonna say. is We gonna need a whole lot of duct tape  and custom parts.

No you are correct, sa80 style is what the l85 and l86 are. The tar tavor or f200 would also be an option for you with some modification. Although the famas and aug are bullpups, they could work as well, if not better for your project than the first two that I listed.

The whole area in front of the trigger is useless space and can easily be modified to attac a lr 300 front end.

good idea plus i think there videos and instructions on the net. that show you how too convert the famas too use nato Stanag style magazines.

Cool idea, I thought about doing something similar (even non-functioning) as a cosplay prop some time ago. Ended up being a bit too expensive to be worth it though. LR300s aren't cheap and can be hard to find (which is what you would need for the front end/main body), and then trying to combine that with something like an L85 rear end without it looking ghetto... Well, that was a bit out of my area of expertise lol. If somebody could pull this off and make it look authentic, I'd certainly consider paying them for it.

KZ3 is FANTASTIC! It's extraordinary I preordered the Helghast edition and man is it good. It just feels... heavy

Actually you could use the l85 afv which is the very short stubby model. It only has 5 inches of barrel past the trigger so there is no handguards in the way. It may be more expensive at first but it means less modding.
