Glock Torture test

Here's an interesting article I found. A man puts hist Glock through a very long series of tests (it looks like its been through hell after its finished).

Not everyone likes Glocks.

bite me christian,  you already know i think glocks function great, i just don't like the way they feel and look.  personal choice.  However, it is AMAZING what that thing went through.  I somehow doubt Glock accomplished tests like this, or even considered it.  I guess the glock's a good end of the world gun.  of course, i've got a magnum research gun that i've put over a thousand rounds through without cleaning, i'm just not willing to try the other stuff.  [-X

It's a pistol, you don't have to clean it.

1K isn't that impressive, but it's leaps and bounds above that MIM PT1911 I told you not to buy. :lol:

If I were to pick ONE gun to depend my life on, Glock would be it.

I have a M&P .45, and it is the coolest looking pistol I've ever seen, but it's not without flaws.

Call me dude, we need to set up the shoot we discussed.   :mrgreen:

A Glock will be the first hand gun I ever buy.  I wonder what would stop one on the first try, aside from C4.

Anyway, there is a cool youtube vid on this with some guy runing his Glock extremely fast to try to get it to meltdown. Not sure if its an accurate test or not  :D  but its a cool vid. I Also want the large cap mag he uses at the end!

Will do.  And I fixed that 1911 di@k.   Granted, I shouldn't have had to fix it, but it's a beast now.

I find it amazing that a company can go from manufacturing curtain rods to manufacturing amazingly tough and reliable pistols. When I buy a pistol, a Glock will be  my first.

 What's really interesting is that this man had enough trust in this pistol to shoot it after all of those tests.

there are allot of people on the glock wagon and I can say they are a dang good pistol, but personally I do not like the angle of the grip.  Using pistols based off the 1911 and then trying to change over to the glock can be difficult at est.  All of the memory your muscles have developed have to re-learned.  I really do like the glock and the XD's safety features, aka when the time comes all I have to do is hit the bag button.

I think you would be very suprised at just what it would take to ACTUALLY be risking your life with a pistol.  If you welded the slide and stopped up the barrel maybe. Then again, it might just blow the magazine to shreds and out the bottom.  I don't know, anybody want to try it?  :mrgreen:

well if the heat treatment was not taken into consideration it would just fire, and thats it nothing more would happen.

This is about the worst Glock damage i've seen. It was caused by copper plated (non-FMJ) rounds, due to the polygonal rifling glock uses in their barrels. The jacket on these rounds is superficial, causing lead build up, leading to massive pressures that can blow-up guns.

Don't get me wrong. Glocks are great, but no gun is indestructable.
