Bushmaster?
« on: October 14, 2008, 07:33:44 AM »
So, went shooting with some friends the other day and one had a Bushmaster, I really liked it, felt good well built very solid. So can anyone share any experiences with this brand, I plan on getting an AR-15 soon, dont really want to spend over $2,000 and most of the bushmasters seem to fit my range, and from what ive heard they are nothing short of amazing, but still wanted to get some more opinions.

Though Bushy has their qualities, you can so much more for the same price. It all depends on your budget. In my personal opinion, LMT is the best for overall price and quality.

1100-1500$:

Colt 6920
Noveske N4
KAC Sr15(lots of $)
LMT Defender 2000 with sopmod (my next build, with an lmt 10.5 upper  Mk18)

700-1000$:

Stag Arms (you can buy the upper and lower separate for $760 with BUIS)
CMMG- They do a great job, always A++!
DPMS-in a personal opinion their lower shelf but still quite good

RUN from brands like Olympic Arms, Hesse, Black Thorne and Vulcan no matter the price RUN RUN RUN. In my opinion GO WITH LMT but if your budget is only around 800, go with a stag Arms Model 2h upper from ar15sales.com for $490 shipped to your door with BUIS and get a lower from lonestar for around $230+ shipping+ FFL charge. It comes to around $765. I love mine but I wish i would of went with LMT. If your budget is around 1400 for a stock ar, go with Colt- best SHTF rifle youll ever get.

If you're asking me, I will nEVER buy Bushy inless its overly in my favor. I have my next 3 builds for ar15 type varients peiced out and they are all LMT lowers. The uppers will be LMT and an ADCO mk12mod 0 upper. BUt one day I'll break down and get a 6920. Though bushy is good, many liike me will tell you, for the same price you can do better.

I've got a bushy. I like it, it likes me. It fires the dirty ammo that I run through it with few problems. Only thing I don't like about it is the non-milspec buffer tube, which isn't a problem, I just haven't had time to replace it. Good gun, and you can pick them up for fairly cheap(I paid 8bills for mine).
