Title: Warlord - Operation Serenity Down - Saturday, April 16, 2011
Post by: 6-string on April 07, 2011, 10:04:45 AM
Two days ago, a transport C-130 aircraft went down behind enemy lines. Aboard the aircraft was a covert team carrying critical intelligence and equipment that will turn the tide of the on-going war between Tanzia, and Greenada. The team leader (code named, Serenity ) and a few of his people are thought to have survived the crash, but they are in Greenada territory and they are in imminent danger of being captured by Greenadian special Ops.

In the mean time the Tanzian government has sent a special forces team to recover Serenity and his crew, but in the event they are too late to recover them, they have orders to kill them rather than allow what they know to fall into enemy hands...

Warlord is hosting this scenario game at Sycamore Creek. We will meet at the Arby's at the intersection of Shea Blvd. & Hwy 87 at 8 AM on Saturday, April 16. There will be three teams:

Hey! What's up here? Why aren't people signing up? I don't see another game on that date. This is an awesome place to play. And the scenario will be great! Warlord Airsoft has hosted many very good games at OK Corral, Stoneman Creek, SASCO, and Four Peaks. This is a new area we are very excited about. Come join us!

Comments about the AO:
This area is thick with sycamore trees. There are tall grass and reed areas, and two small streams running through the area. There are rocky outcroppings and cliffs on both sides of the valley. Lots of good cover and beautiful scenery. Great ambush spots (important fir this game).  Sorry, I can't seem to upload pictures for som reason.

Bill - go through the list of rsvp threads and see how long it has been since the community has seen a FREE hosted game.. a loong time. with the exception of Spazz and Whacker55 (which sorry but most no one except older guys know them so their forum presence isnt what it used to be) their skunk creek game a week ago. before that was grozny 3 all these games get fewer and farther between. the paintball and cqb chopsim have pretty much taken this forum by floods of game posts that cost anywhere from 20 - 50 dollars for barbeques and raffles and memeberships and feild fees.. tell me why.. why in gods name do i want to do a milsim sport in a non milsim enviroment? is it plywood cqb?? pallet warzz?? or is it trench warfare?

anyways i have been itching to work my butt off setup a giant game i will see if myself and a few guys can make this one i need some plastic death

I have noticed less and less free games.  So just to clarify: this game is 100% FREE.  Things are expensive enough today.  Shouldn't always have to pay to get some trigger time in (although games like Hornet's Nest and all the MTT stuff are well worth the $$).  I can guarantee that this game will be awesome!  Like I said before, its a great AO and a great scenario with great group of guys signed up so far.  See you all next Saturday.

id be there if i could if for no other reason then to meet some of the new faces that have popped up since ive been away. but i have to help my parents move all there stuff to storage on sat. finaly got a car that gets good milage so hopefully ill be able to make your next one. i have noticed that hardly anyone does free games anymore. its kinda sad, 3yrs ago when i was playing all the time you could look on here and find at least 2 games a week, and allmost gaurentee a good showing at any game you went to. well, ill be doing a game everyother sunday, never a charge. i know i dont want to have to pay to shoot my friends, and i know others dont allways want to have to do it either. i give thanks to all others that host free games as well. thank you guys for finding the places for us to play and putting the time in to put together the senerios for us to shoot each other. i will try my best to make your next game.

NOTE TO EVERYONE!!!! This will be a long-range game. You must have all your ammo, water, food, etc. with you. If you have to go back to your car, you will be out of the game for a while.

Everyone: A question came up on a PM that I thought everyone should see.

Question: Will a small car get to the AO, or do you need a 4x4?

Answer: There is an initial staging area where any vehicle can get to. From there you can walk to the AO. If you have a high-clearance vehicle, then you can drive closer to the final staging area where all of the missions will begin. You can hitch a ride with someone to the final staging area as well. Warlord will shuttle people who want a ride. The point is we will get everyone there no matter what.

Just a quick note on free games.  WARLORD AIRSOFT always hosts free games.  We have been away for a little while but we are back.  As long as we are around we will hold free games.  We can guarantee that.  We would like to start planning games with the cooperation of other teams on AA as well. If anyone is interested in doing this, please let us know.  Also, I don't want to talk this AO up too much (or others we have held games at), but this one will be one of the greatest places you will play here in Az.

Old fashioned stalk and hide? Hell, that's what I got into airsoft for to begin with! I'll try to make it +1. Question: Can I bring my 12 year old son, who will be with me at all times (wielding an Echo G36C)? Tanzia
