Reference Section suggestion
« on: June 24, 2008, 04:01:36 PM »
I would suggest adding a section specifically for references - no discussions, flames, or non-relevant comments. Threads could be:
    - Teams
    - Operational Areas (AOs) - locations, maps, directions, and the like.
    - Equipment Reviews
    - Equipment Suppliers

I would anticipate these to look similar to the thread on Teams where the main article is updated by the moderator based on posts added to the thread.

As a new person to your forums and someone looking to get involved, I'm having a hard time finding this information - I realize a lot of it is scattered about, but it would be extremely helpful for new folks to have a basic references section.

Let me know if I can do anything to assist. Thanks.

Equipment Reviews and Suppliers I could agree with. But the thing about AOs is that I don't think the information about them would be used responsibly by those who have not been in this hobby for very long. All those who need to know about AOs already know where they are and have the proper contacts to make sure we can play there. Besides most of the game announcement threads have directions to the AO. With regards to teams, most of them already have their own board on this forum, whether or not they make publicly viewable is up to them.
