Green Gas is propane. You can find the faq and lab results here www.airsoft-innovations.com . BTW, it does smell like crap...literally. I don't think propane burns up the o-rings. You'll be totally fine if you use silicone in the adapter. Last thing, it gives your gun like 5 extra FPS, I know...big whoop, but the best thing is, you get extra mags. I got 3 mags instead of two. I think it's because propane, without the extra distalents, makes it a little heavier.

Then that rat bastard should change it back, because from what I've heard from dozens of former marines, "once you're a marine, you're always a marine". And I'm sure he's just messing around.

You are right and wrong. Most Marines will say that they are "former Marines" instead of "ex-Marines" becuase of the phrase you quoted. I, however, was kicked out way early and therefore the first clause of the phrase does not apply to me, therefore the latter doesn't either. I've had Marines still call me one, but I would never tell anyone that I ever did anything other than try to become a Marine.

Back on topic....

You guys are confusing yourselves.

"Right kind of Propane"?  Propane is propane.  "Green Gas" is propane.

There are basically 2 kinds of airsoft gas, HFC134A (Duster Gas, sometimes called green gas incorrectly) and Propane (Green Gas, sometimes incorrectly called HFC22, also called Red gas).

Some have different additives for scent (used to detect leaks) and lubrication.  Some are bottled at different pressures, and some have different gasses mixed in (like Butane, CO2, etc).

Use Propane in your GBB and you will probably notice no difference.

I do not rely on the lubication in the gas can alone anyway, so lubing my pistol hasn't changed a thing.

My friend though it would be kool to hold a zippo up to the tip of his gun after shooting it. the whole thing burst into flames and singed his arm. Be careful if you ever think of doing this because gasses are very unpredictable.

Your friend sounds like an idiot.
Your friend sounds like Greg..... ;)

Don't even TRY to denie...

Could it be someone on the MMA forums?
