Reviews / Need Help w/ Review
« on: September 14, 2011, 07:04:56 PM »
What the topic says...I am working on an in-depth review but need help with the internals section.  I do not know the internals well enough to give an accurate opinion.
The replica in question is the JG Full Metal M4

If anyone knows about the internal quality / specifications please post them.  Do NOT post if you are guessing, only if you truly know.
Credit will be given to those who assist me.

Right now the review is 1,618 words with 27 pictures.  Estimated finished product will be around 2,000 words and 35 pictures.

***Evike is offering 20% off your entire order, for those who don't already know***

Needless to say I took advantage of this and placed an order for the following:

http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info.php?products_id=28790

And of course the usual battery, charger, ammo, etc...

I will post an in depth review when I get the rifle in 3-7 days.
-EDIT 9.9.11- I now have the AEG, scroll down to see first reported cons and some photos.

Gas Powered Guns / King Arms M4 GBBR and Gas Questions
« on: August 26, 2011, 10:39:45 PM »
Okay so firstly does anyone know anything about the quality of the Kings Arms Gas M4?

Next question is about gas...

I know people keep say gas has problems in cold / heat...How does this effect playing in Arizona?  I am not really concerned about the cold weather as we don't have any real cold days in Arizona.  However, when its 110+ outside how will that affect the gas?

So Green Gas is basically a weaker version of propane with silicone.  Recommended if you have extra money, right?
And propane is a stronger version of green gas minus silicone (add your own silicone).  Recommend if on a budget, right?
Finally C02 is the strongest of the above but causes extremely high wear, not advised?

Introduce Yourself! / Demlockians Intro
« on: August 17, 2011, 07:19:58 PM »
Well...I am 19 years old and just now officially starting airsoft.  I used to moderate an Airsoft forum actually for about a year or so, Airosft Reports.  However, the Administrator really did not know what he was doing (Konrad) and the site died.  Thankfully I left before that happend.  You may ask how can one run an airsoft forum with next to no experience...its not had to research a question, post an answer, and make sure people obey rules...really simple.  Well enough of that.

I live in Queen Creek and work as a computer technician.  I got my A+ last year and N+ a few months ago, I am now working on HP ExpertOne Certification for networking.  I drive a newer Nissan Titan SE King Cab.  My family and I love the out doors and have several horses and quads.

AEG's / What M4?
« on: August 16, 2011, 11:57:45 AM »
Okay so I am starting my gear hunt now...
I just traded in my Ford Mustang for a Nissan Titan so I get my Gap money back, $700, in about four weeks.  I plan to use this time to research what I need to get.

AEG Choice
G&G Top-Tech Electric Blowback M4A1 Carbine TM4-A1
KWA Full Metal KM4 RIS
Echo 1 Platinum Edition Full Metal M4 Crane Stock Rifle Package (with Custom Hard Case)

G&G - Don't know a lot about them, the guns looks nice and I know they manufacture good quality guns.
KWA - I hear they offer the best internals for performance and reliability but have only decent externals.
Echo1 - Hear the internals are basically high quality VFC and the externals are amazing.  Also comes with 2 hi-caps when bought from AGI and a case for transport.  Seems to be a good value, but I don't want an unreliable gun.

Opinions?

Accessories & Gear / How much gear is overkill?
« on: August 15, 2011, 04:20:23 PM »
Hello everyone...simple question.  How much gear is to much?
(never played airsoft)

Is it best to just wear a basic camo uniform, vest, and helmet?
Or should one go with camo, vest, pads, helmet, and tactical boots?
(not actual load outs listed above, you get the idea)

I want to go with the proper gear but not show up highly over / under dressed.

*How can I bypass the verification image to post...that alone drives me nuts.
