I own a stock Echo 1 SCAR. It was my first AEG purchase from ASGI. I have been happy with its overall performance. It is a little hot out of the box yes. I had to use .25's to get it to shoot straight do to the FPS. It is a very rugged AEG with a V2 Reinforced Gearbox. I have played many games with it and have been pretty satisfied with the performance. However I have since bought a G&G GR-16 R4 Commando and a CA M249 PARA. Since owning these other AEG's I have come to appreciate craftsmanship and realistic stamping and markings. Since reading your VERY well written review of the VFC SCAR, I have been neglecting my SCAR altogether. I will more than likely be getting another SCAR and currently the VFC is at the top of the list. But I will say that the ECHO 1 SCAR isn't  completely deserving of the disgusted looks from more pro/elitist airsofters that it currently gets. With that said, thank you for your review it has helped me greatly in the decision process.

Nice review.

I thought your pictures were fine but could have used some lighting improvement.  I find it's best to do it during the day.  But if you do it at night or in a dark room, it's best to turn on all the lights in the room even if you have a flash.  Also, most digital cameras today have multiple preset mode.  Take the same picture in several or all the different modes and see what works best.  Anyway, your pictures were clear and sharp enough to see the details on the gun.  That is what is most important.

The gun looks very nice but the upper receiver almost seems to have a glitter to it.  Is this because of the flash or does it look like that in the sun too.

Please follow up later with a second performance review after several battles.  I enjoy reading how well a gun takes and doesn't take abuse in the field, shooting performance and how it affect your playing style.
