I just remembered, when I got fucked up last year, my neighbor told me a story when he was a kid (he played in the NHL for like, 20 years) how he was lifting and his spotter walked away and he had the bar crush his face.  

He said he'd rather take a puck to the face than have that happen to him.

That whole chicks dig scars thing didn't work for me, but... eh lol.

I almost never use a spotter. Only for incline dumbells and decline barbell bench (just for lift off on decline and first rep on dumbells). I did come close to dropping a bar on my face once, reverse benching 315. Scares the hell outa you. But I have learned to lift within my means and I never max.

Your a lucky mutha that thats all that happend to you. :shock:
