Well I had a great time. What makes airsoft for me is the great people who make this what it is and the camaraderie.  Personally I can think of no greater way for me to really appreciate what our soldiers do every day than to go out there for 2 days of simulated combat, have your tent blown away and having to set up another one in 60+ winds at 45 degrees. Thanks for your help guys.  

Thanks Mikey and Mark you guys did great. Skyler you also did a great job as 302 SL. I wouldn't want to be a part of any other group, you guys ROCK! And to my fellow squad mates, I hope I did a half decent job at my position. Many times I tried to get us on a good flank to decimate the enemy but our fellow Rangers were just way to fast pushing the enemy back! I even tried to compensate for that factor and I still could not keep up with our guys on the front line. Great job guys!

As a squad at these events there is always time when we get seperated, I think we did an outstanding job regrouping in a timely fashion so that we could operate as a cohesive unit.

Ben, battle buddy. Awesome job. You were always there, I knew I could rely on you to help me cover the rest of the squad and to pass communications back to the SL. If you ever need a battle buddy, you can always call on me.
 
My favorite moment was watching Rod surrender two Alpha just 5 seconds apart!
That and you just got to love the Bone Saw  8)

Ryan, a lowly rifleman couldn't ask for a more skilled pointman. Guiding us in and out of 'the shit' artfully all while keeping casualties low and action high.

I'm embarassed that I forgot to mention Mark's excellent leadership. He is such a good PLT SGT that the first two hours of Saturday was a ruck march to get us in shape for the real game!

Great stuff.

I'd have to say that the tactical withdraw we did on Saturday afternoon was pretty intense. The four guys left on second squad just rolled up next to the three or four left from third and tuned those Alphas. Then one by one we pulled back. Ryan was running so fast he almost fell over when he turned into trail through the bushes.

Well,

I hate to bust everyone's bubble, but Alpha Rangers had only two missions on Saturday.  I don't know what the frick was going on, but we sat around forever in the morning waiting for our orders and our trucks to deploy.  We did not deploy to the battlefield until 12:30 PM.  I don't know who and how they pick the commanders for these games, but I must say that the Captain of the Alpha Rangers sucked big ass balls.  On the first mission, he couldn't figure out the coordinate system, and while myself and Eric Jackson were suppossed to recon the first target while the rest of the Rangers were to attack target 2, we ended up meeting our Captain at Target 1.  He was so confused.  For some reason, he could not identify any landmarks *sarcasm* being that there was only about 10 or fifteen buildings to use as landmarks.  After the mission, it was discovered that the GPS they were using had the wrong GPS coordinate system.  There was no communication up to higher command during this whole time.  

On the second mission of they day, our fearless *stupid* leader could not locate a simple objective that was as clear as day to myself and Jackson.  Seeing how it was only about 200 yards from our FOB and clearly identifiable by landmarks, it was easy to miss.  Team coordination was non-existant and what the hell is the point of recon if you send them in as a second wave of troops.  

The third mission never even got started.

Sunday was much better with much clearer objectives and our Captain finally figured out his coordinate system.  Jackson and I were able to infiltrate behind enemy lines and had a picture perfect vantage point to snipe from before the rest of our rangers showed up and promptly shot me and blew our cover.  *BTW Aren't all players supposed to stop moving when a cease fire is held?*  On our second time out we managed to infiltrate the enemy control point and popped a few guys who had no idea we were there.  It was quite entertaining to listen and see guys looking all over for us in those bushes.   Jackson, I would run with you any day man!!!  HOOAAH!!!

1st Day Kill Total: 15
1st Day Death Total: 5

2nd Day Kill Total: 18
2nd Day Death Total: 5

33:10 Kill Ratio

Not bad for a 2 man squad.  

Anyways, look forward to the next AA game guys.  Keep it real!!!!!

Hats off to Bravo.  It looks like you guys had your shit together alot more the Alpha did.

That's cool man...I was glad to have seen you, if only briefly -- I tried to find your campsite but it was pretty bad in terms of weather and confusion.

I got to see Josh on Sunday, that was good as well.

Yeah he said he ran into you a couple of times on Sunday.  It looks like you guys were living in style in that camper.  Man was it windy that night!!!!

I camped in a hotel room, with indoor plumbing. I didn't fail, I passed with flying colors.

Oh, and I'd like to say that I wasn't putting on the "I don't care" attitude when I won the doll, I just woke up. I was asleep in the chair, burning in the sun.

Yeah, as I was falling back, I didnt realize that the withdraw had turned off onto a side trail.  All most missed the trail as I slid into the turn.  :lol:

Oh yes. I really did appreciate the lanterns and assistance you gave us when we had to pull all our stuff out of the flattened tent and put up the new one in that crazy wind. I'm embarrased that I don't know the name of the first guy that helped us. But thanks to Him and to John as well.
