A friend of mine has one on his AR15, and so far it works flawlessly. They usually range anywhere from 50-80 bucks depending on where you buy, they come with a magnifier and are suitable for real steel use.

Dude a red dot is a red dot. I guess some cheap red dots can't handle recoil..... Lol some people buy replica holographic sights that are actually a red dot, because an actual holo sight is expensive.

I do like the fact that this red dot has some magnification.....

Meh, the Vector Optics stuff really kinda sucks.  Cheap materials, OK build quality.  Your typical Chinese stuff.  I wouldn't trust it for much more than an AR.  I'd spend a few extra bucks and just get a first gen Bushnell Holosight.
