The battle for Prescottonia rages on!
When: September 1, 2012 (9-1-12)
Location: Copper Basin A.O.
Cordinates of the A.O. are 34.498694, -112.540278
Start Time: 8am (Camping out the night before is an option)
Chrono
FPS Limits
366 FPS with a .25g BB.
530 FPS with a .25g BB for sniper rifles. Single shot only! Side arm is required. M.E.D 100ft. If you get a warning for shooting someone within the M.E.D it will you be your one and final warning. If we have to ask you more than once you will be asked to put the the rifle away and use a different one or will be asked to leave.
We will be using our own .25g BB's for the chrono. Please bring an empty magazine to the chrono station. Random chrono checks could happen.
Midcap magazines only! This excludes support weapons such as M249's, M60's, RPK's etc.
Red death rag is required!
Background Story.
After the nuke was set off by Tanistan at the last battle for Prescottonia, a scientist by the name of Nicoli Broseph began using the area to test chemical weapons and bombs. After many failed attempts at creating the ultimate chemical weapon he eventually drove himself insane and disapeared into the landscape. Little did Nicoli know, he didn't fail at all.
Unbenounced to Greenada, Tanistan has recently found out about Nicoli's experiments and has once again ventured into Prescottonia. After watching Nicoli, Tanistan devised a plan to steal and plant a bomb in Greenada territory. When realizing Nicoli became insane they went forth with this plan and now hold onto a chemical bomb that Nicoli once thought was a failure.
Tanistan doesn't realize however, that Greenada already knew about Nicoli's testing and sent in troops to capture the scientist and use his weapons for an attack on Tanistan. Unfortunately for Greenada, Tanistan has already stolen and planted the bomb and Nicoli Broseph has disapeared somewhere in the battlefield...
Scenarios:
Capture the flags.
This is a force on force mission where each team has to set out and collect as many flags as possible. The team with the most flags will get intel on where or who is Nicoli Broseph and can possibly get intel on what he has on his person. The losing team, depending on the amount of flags captured, will also recieve a little bit of intel. For every five flags captured each person on the team will recieve one medic strip. (5 flags = 1 medic strip/pack) Duration of this mission and medic/regen rules will follow at a later date.
Find and capture the scientist.
This is a force on force mission where each team will have to set out and find Nicoli Broseph. It's important that each team keep him alive when finding him. Be careful though, Nicoli might have a few tricks up his sleeve... Duration of this mission and medic/regen rules will follow at a later date.
Disarm the bomb.
Tanistan has already planted the chemical bomb and Greenada needs to set out and find and disarm the bomb before it levels the area once more. Keeping Nicoli alive and well will benefit whichever team was able to keep him from the other. Duration of this mission and medic/regen rules will follow at a later date.
Objectives
Greenada
Find as many flags as possible.
Find, capture and keep Nicoli Broseph alive and away from Tanistan forces.
Disarm the bomb and drive Tanistan forces out of Prescottonia.
Tanistan
Find as many flags as possible.
Find, capture and keep Nicoli Broseph alive and away from Greenada Forces.
Secure the bomb site and keep Greenada from disarming the bomb.
Drive Greenada forces out of Prescottonia.
Uniform Requirements
Greenada
Woodland, Digital Woodland and any foreign or domestic uniform that can be clearly defined as green.
Tanistan
ACU, 3 Color Desert, Choco Chip, Digital Desert and any foreign or domestic uniform that can be clearly defined as tan.
Multicam undecided at this point. Please do not wear ATACS for this event.

I should be there with about 5 other guys from my team for Tanistan. As far as the FPS limits go, what is 366fps w/ .25g bbs converted up to .2g velocities? It should be around 390-400fps, right?
Also, is there any entrance fee for this event?

All you need is a set of Tan DCU's. Gear color does not matter so long as your uniform is clearly tan or ACU. Midcaps are the only required set of gear.

It looks like multicam will be added to tan but again if you do want to wear multicam, I ask that you please state that you'll be wearing it when you post.

Each mission should last between 45 minutes to an hour. You can stay up there all day if you want. I would imagine there will be pick up games after Battle for Prescottonia is won by either team.

At this point it does look like multicam will be on the Tan team but I ask that if you do plan on wearing multicam and haven't signed up yet that you let us know you will be wearing multicam for this event. Remember this is a team oriented game and we would like to see everybody work together and have fun. Please leave any bad attitude you might have at home and come out and enjoy the day of airsoft. We will not put up with cheaters so if you know you cheat or have mutliple people telling us they have caught you cheating you will not be tolerated. Come out and have some fun and remember to bring a red/pink/orange death rag and it is a midcap only game. Anybody using a support weapon will be excluded from midcaps but remember a support weapon would be a LMG of some sort, not an M4 with a drum mag.

There may be some changes with the teams and I would like to get an accurate count of how many people plan to show up. If you do plan on attending this game PM me or post saying you will be attending with the number of people you plan on bringing and the color team you plan to fight for. If you are wearing Multicam or ACU and plan on attending please state that you will be wearing either Multicam or ACU.

If the DMR is not limited to semi auto only, then yes they will be subjected to the AEG fps limit.

Would something like my SR12 DMR be subjected to the full 100' MED if I had it limited to Semi? It's shooting only around 367 w/ .28's, nothing too hot. I would suspect it to be limited to something more like 50' or 75'.

Sorry to let you guys down, but I'm in the dog house with my wife. Forgot our aniversay, soo I'm making it up to her this weekend. Totally forgot, was looking forward to playing. Haven't touch my guns in awhile.

After 10 years experience, I've never had any issue with rain and my equipment. I don't baby my gear.
Just face it, war sucks, even if its just for pretend. Just bring some warm clothes as it can be much cooler up there than our climatized bodies are used too down here. Guess that is only true for those of us who work outdoors for a living. Rain or shine it will be a glorious day!

Ohh how i miss the days Of submerging In a river Jumping out of a bunch Of cat-tail weeds and hosing people down.
Last year it got a little chilly when it rained, I know i was cold. Id recommend bringing a hoodie, or something to stay warm if needed

Multicam will be a third force in this game. They have their own objective which will be told to all the Multicam players as a group. Multicam can be friendly or hostile to either Greenada or Tanistan. Make friends with Multicam and it could help you in the long run.
Once you guys get up there please head to the chrono and have your guns ready to be chronographed. We will be using our own .25's for chrono.

Hey, I am on the fence on this, basically Gas being the major issue (how the crap does gas jump 40c in a week!). I am down for either side as long as I can get some teamwork in, Is there anyone near central Phoenix (7th St, Indian School-ish) down for giving me a ride, I can share driving/pay for some gas. Is the AO going to be marked? The co-ordinates end half way down a road and kinda hard so see if there is any landmarks there?

Wow! Those are some great pictures. Can you post up a link to the Photobucket album perhaps? I'd really like to use some of these pics for a club recruiting event, if that's all right. Also, if there are more, I'd love to see them as well.
Lastly, thanks for hosting an event up here again. It was great to have some different people to play with. Let me know if you need help planning another one; as good as this location is, there are all kinds of different AOs near Prescott.

It was fun. I echo alot of what others of said. The weather was great and I wouldn't mind going back there. Killerdragon I agree with you: "Next time we' ll have a better plan for the people from multicamastan". I sometimes would look at a multicam teammate and think I was safe and then realize that half of multicam joined the other team. No worries. I had a great time. Thanks for hosting.
