I believe (could be wrong) that the A&K is a TM clone and uses the proprietary upper receiver.  If that's the case, I'd definitely avoid it.  You'd be better off picking up an ICS Sportline or Combat Machine and a separate SIR rail for it.

I'll check those out. Thanks

Be s-systems work very well for stock guns, but the weakest link on them that i have encountered is  the plastic. I have had one break by the rear body pin. I forgot what brand it was, either a jg or tm.
Thank you. I was wondering if the polymers had some downfalls and this is the type of input I've been trying to get.. Thanks again.

My M&P15 custom hydrodipped in APC/ACU pattern. I looks greener than it should just from crappy lighting.

I've got a bad feeling about this.

Nah, common sense is what causes bad decisions and I'm not that green my friend.  ;D

Alright... I've been shopping around for something that closely matches my real world platform (for obvious reasons), and for the money I have to spend, about $150, I was looking at airsoftmegastore and found the A&K M4 S-System Carbine AEG Rifle. Does anyone have any reviews on it? I've looked on youtube but you know youtube.  :P
If anyone has suggestions for the price range I'm working with and the M4 platform with adjustable stock platform please let me know. I'll do my homework on and see what I can do.

As a noob myself, I think it's an awesome idea to follow through with. Smart planning on it also and doing your market research before investing.  8)
I would be interested in an informational map like this... btw, how is it coming along? Or have you abandoned the idea?

Wow! I read through the whole thing and must say this is a great read for knowledge; but I will do my research.  :o
You unbiased approach to informing the reader was very helpful to myself, as I'm sure others. I just wanted to say thanks for taking your time in explaining all that. I'm sure there have been some advances since you've posted this but I'm also sure the information is still very valid. Most of the links don't work, but there are a few that still do, but you made your point in doing research; and I agree that someone would be a complete idiot not to before they spent their hard earned money.  :'(

I'm still too new to the scene but I've seen on another map, somewhere, that there's at least four more in the Tucson AO that should be listed. I haven't been to any yet but will do what I can to contribute to this when I confirm the locations.

Well, I'm Big Dog, but I guess someone else already has that so I have to use AzBigDog (no prob), I'm really new to all this though I have tactical experience from a previous profession.  :P
Anyway, I'm located in Tucson and have been talking with Tonk, from 52Zulu. I hope to get involved and get things going soon.
