If you read the auction, it's a springer - and quite the expensive one at that.

Thx Paco. I wonder how well it actually works. Has anybody ever handled one?

Yep.
154 made in two variants.

You can still buy one, though.  I think it's around $15000.  (For some reason I want to say $40k, but that's probably not right.)

Mags are $450.

But hey, it comes with a Schmidt & Bender scope (not exactly your average Tasco) that usually cost about $2500, so you're really getting a steal.

Regarding the Geneth G2000 from the auction, it's an APS based spring rifle.  So APS parts work in it.  A lot of money to spend for a big, heavy rifle...

With the special "Sniper Tux."

He puts it together, and then shoots the girl from about 200 yards away in the arm, which comes out slightly scratched.  (For reference, at 200 yards, the Federal Gold Medal .300 Win Mag BTHP has about 2760 ft-lbs of energy, and is still traveling at 2560 fps.)

I thought he shot the receiver on her rifle and the shards of wood and metal caused her wound.

Oh...you are indeed right, sir.

I bow to your superior memory.

Still though...that's explosive force.

This is kinda off the subject but is ebay a reliable source for airsoft equipment? Has anyone had an experience with ebay?

It's not ebay that has a reliability issue, it's the sellers. I make it a policy to only buy from people who have done lots of business already.

Yeah, I saw that preview. It's a fairly popular movie rifle because it's got that look to it...
