You could start with an ASC M14.  Add a scope, bipod, etc, and you will be on your way.

Have you considered a Mk11 or Mk12?  That would be cool as well!

Harley can do a semi auto mod to the M14 for you.  Its a full auto only gun when you get it.  Make sure he fuses it for you too.  If you dont want to wait on ASC, Den Trinity has them for sale with no wait, I think KamikazeSM can also get them.  Im not sure how long that would take though.  You might want to ask Harley about what is needed to upgrade the internals.  If its a semi auto sniper gun I think you can take it up to 500, but dont exceed that.  Keep in mind that if you go over 400 you cant shoot anyone within 50 feet, which can be a problem.  Get a good backup if you go with the mod over 400 fps.  ASC will upgrade it for you before they ship it.  If Harley cant upgrade it for you by simply getting some parts, youll have to order it from ASC pre upgraded, which will take a long time.

He offers them up all the time, and even posted in Kamikaze's thread that he would do the semi auto mod if anyone bought one.  I just wanted to put him in touch with the guy who's help he will need to do this.

looking to build an m21 sniper rifle

Thats right guys I am officially hooked on Airsoft [8)] I am going to try my hand at building a m21 sniper rifle. I bought pancho APS2-SV that I will sell for 250.00(rifle works great )I Just want A Semi auto m21 sniper. Any and all info that you guys have on m14s or m1as airsoft please send them my way
 I already have a real m25 so I have a few extra scope mounts and stocks laying around[:P]
