My Team has two golf carts that we are interested in mounting some LMGs on and we dont know what we should get so if I could get some suggestions that would be great, thanks.

First of all, your username sucks.

But, to answer your question, you're most likely going to have to create something.  Ganef's assault vehicle has fabricated mounts for the MGs, and they work very well.  He welded them.

On second thought, keep the golf carts in Sun City.

If you guys are not on a budget or have a large one, go with a couple of M240b or an M60.  I think A&K just came out with a cheap BA verison of the Vietnam M60.

Mounted guns (ground application):
-240 family
-Mk19
-Mk47
-Minigun
-Ma Deuce

SAWs in turrets only if a secondary to the M2 or 240B.  Yes, they have 2 mounts - primary at 12 and SAW at either 3 or 9 o'clock.

Mk43, 46, 48 are used in the assault/support role.  The only guys that I know that are mounting Mk48s are not part of a U.S. Military entity.

But, this is for a fuckin golf cart, so none of it is relevant.

Umm... A 249 isn't a vehical weapon, hence SAW (squad automatic weapon).  The Vietnam era M60 makes a great vehical weapon.  Don't be hatin on old weapons.

If they made a Mk19 for airsoft I would be all over that and buy 2 of them  :D

You can still mount a M249 on a vehicle. A M60VN is also a Squad Automatic Weapon.

I lied about the Mk43 never being mounted.  I took a pic yesterday of a Mk43 mounted on a GMV, so the mounts are available.  I don't know who made that one.  The pic was taken with my phone, and has been edited, but you can see the gun, mount, and truck.

There is a Platt mount that can cradle the 249 OR 240 and mounts on the front passenger seat of the GMV.  The SAW is mounted in that role IN ADDITION TO a Turret-mounted Minigun/M2/Mk19/Mk47, and 2 x 240Bs.  You'll never see a SAW alone in the turret.

Never once saw a 249 by itself in a turret when I was in the 'Stan.

However, someone out there is unlucky enough to get the CROWS with a 249.

My bad Vanilla. There aren't a large assortment of heavy MG's that are reliable and affordable out there in the airsoft world..more than there were a few years ago..but not TOO many.

A Mk19 would be cool but none exist AFAIK, and you would have to do some engineering to get some sort of system to feed shells, then eject them into a bag or box.

wow, just the work in making an airsoft MK19 even work, and then the cost of the shells to actually operate....wow, just wow....cool but that would be expensive.

Oh on a side note, In OIF1, when I crossed the border...I only had a M249 as a vehicle mounted weapon.....our MK19's weren't in counrty yet and the ARMY, didn't see the 50 cal. as a reliable weapon til after we passed Baghdad.....

Because the armorers and operators were not properly trained.  Our .50's run at 240B RPMs, reliably.

CROWS with a M249?  Waste of tech.  CROWS is a great system, but is capable of mounting weapons with much greater firepower.

Isn't the CROWS system typically equipped with the M2? I guess maybe in a situation where a .50cal would be too much...
