The thing is slim as shit! I'm 6'1, 175, and I don't wear overly baggy clothing. Even in the summer it is easy to conceal.

A 5" barrel means nothing. That is all concealed by your pants. The only thing I worry about is the grip, which worn at the 4 o clock hides very well.

FWIW, I've heard mixed reviews about the reliability of XDs.

I've heard little to no question on the reliability of Glocks.

Try as many different guns as you can, pick something you feel comfortable shooting, carrying, and have faith in it's working.

The best gun for somebody else may not be what's best for you, however, there is something to the fact that Glocks are the choice for many, many people.  Also remember that you can conceal damn near any handgun out there if you're willing to dress based on your need to conceal.

It's true, people wearing trenchcoats can conceal full size rifles. Lol. I also would recommend going and trying out absolutely as many guns as you can. Personally, I hate glocks, they just don't fit in my hand right, but I know plenty of people that swear by them.

Lighten up a little.  It was a joke and it wasn't pointed at you.

owned an xd 40 for a while.. got rid of it. about 2k rounds through it and it jammed once. i honestly like the glock better in terms of performance.. never cared for them until i shot one.
