Hi,

Welcome to AA. There are several Airsoft fields to play at in the Phoenix area. If you're on the west side, check out Fightertown. Plenty of players on Saturday and Sunday. On the East side, we have Wild West Airsoft. Right now Saturday night game play has about 20-25 players.  8)

Hey all!  Been in AZ for about 8 years now - moved up to Phoenix 4 years ago after I graduated from the UofA.  Anyways, I played airsoft a lot growing up, in high school etc., and just recently started thinking about getting back into it.  Definitely got the bug for it, though I'll be needing a new rifle...  Anyways, is all the stuff around here officially organized, or do people ever put together impromptu skirmishes in the "wilderness"?  Not that there's a whole lot of wilderness within the bounds of Phoenix.  Anyways, looking forward to getting back into it!

Funny you should mention this when you did. The day you posted was the (free) Crossfire game up on the rim. I probably wouldn't call that "impromptu," as it was planned months in advance, and had National Forest permits and whatnot, but it was "wilderness." Alas, I could not attend, as my transportation is currently close to kaput.

If you're a member of the Airsoft Arizona facebook group, that's a great resource to connect with people and plan stuff. In fact, it seems we're organizing some kind of impromptu super-game at Fightertown some time in October, which I may or may not actually be able to attend.

Definitely got the bug for it, though I'll be needing a new rifle...

I know what you mean! I've been itching to play for a while, but circumstances have been restrictive lately.

Check out airsoftgi.com. They've got loads of products, coupons, and new deals every week. I got my first gun there, and I couldn't have been happier with their service.

See you on the field!

Hi my name is Alex. I go by that, Neeko, or my airsoft callsign "Friday". I've been airsofting since 2007 and got more serious into it around 2010. I'm 18 and live in Mesa. I love the sport of airsoft it's so fun and exciting and the friendships that can be formed between players is awesome. I plan on joining the Marine corps within the next year or two. I've always loved military type stuff(huge history/military history guy) and I love guns whether airsoft or real steel. That's about all I can think of but yea I can't wait to get deeper into this local community of fellow players.  :D

Nice! I'm currently in the process of enlisting for the Navy! I can't wait to get out there and serve with all the brave men and women defending our country (though Marines are a bit more hardcore than a Naval engineer. :p).

I guess it is a little bit more hardcore but I think every single part of every branch is an integral part of the military.

It all depends on what happens to you while you in. Trust me. If someone would have told me before I went into the Navy that ship I was on would be hit by two mines, I would have thought they were on drugs. But that happened to me and 430+ other people. So you never know.

As to who's hardcore, You will find those sort of folk in every branch (and Yes even the Coast Guard). It really is all about attitude and what they choose to do while they are in. Depending on what you choose to do (or in many cases what's chosen for you) as Engineer, that can be hardcore. For example, if you work on atomic reactors on a carrier that counts. I don't know too many people that would want to do that.

Hi! Guess it's time for a re-introduction. My name is Anthony, Phoenix born and raised. I went with you guys to a few games back in 08/09, but I had to drop out of airsoft so that I could focus more on school. After graduation I enlisted in the Army. Served as an MP for a few years down in the lovely Resort Polk. There, I was a member of the Fort Polk Airsoft Team and had a blast. FPAT kinda jacked all my stuff, but I went through some abandoned property that an old roommate left on my porch and lo'! Tokyo Marui MP7A1 AEG with 8 magazines. So, that said, I'm home and looking forward to getting back in the game! I will do my best to catch up and see what all I missed the last few years and look forward to being a part of those to come!

Hey, I probably played with you, then! I was at the night game for a very short time. The rain was screwing up my mask and the fields were swampy as balls. Not to mention the ~100 kids there for paintball.
