I want to openly clarify something:  After visiting at length with a good friend who is a member if the US Airsoft core I was mistaken about this event.  The above mention of "This is a perfect opportunity for those going to the big events this year" led me to believe that this USAS event was the only one planned for the specific training of the AZ players who are attending the November Op.  This is not the case.  As I stated I have heard only praise for the quality of the events and if you can afford it this will undoubtedly be another great one.  As a business, USAS has every right to earn as much money as the market will allow and I support that.  My concerns about the purpose of this event were not valid or warranted, and I write this to retract them.  Rather than simply deleting my above posts, I want it shown that an arror was made and I'm trying to correct it here.  There are two additional CQB training events planned for the November Op instruction, and I am sure that those will be structured accordingly.
Thanks, and apologies all around.

No, but only because I can't afford it!  It otherwise sounds great and should be well done.

Mario, this is not an AA event, but rather a training event being organized by US Airsoft.

We have all had our share of misunderstanding and mistakes, and such is life. Kyle, I applaud you for your comments in all of the above posts. It takes a lot to state one's opinion and I for one have never take it personally. It is because of proactive players like you that help grow Airsoft. The last thing I would ever be apart of is an organization where people blindly follow without question.

Our goal with USAS is three fold:
1. To support growth of airsoft by promoting Airsoft Arizona, Airsoft Addicts, Game On, and the General's Attic
2. Establish Arizona as the place to come and train.
3. Develop a positive image of airsoft through teamwork and leadership-oriented training.

I just found out today that the film crew will be costing us about 20.00 per person as well. However, Mike Simpson, who has been planning and organizing most of this is extremely confident in their ability.

We performed a full practice run of the event and it is coming together very nicely. There is a lot of information to learn and those interested should either download the manual or go by Game On and pick one up.

One of the other events we have been working on is getting the use of an airliner for an event. That is all I can say so far, so stay tuned :)

*wipes drool from lower lip... and chin... and lap*  An airliner would be... just... WOW.  Please do it before I leave for Stanford!  (or wait for Christmas break!)

Anyway, I wish I could join you guys for this event, but I will be in Germany kickin it in my leiter-hosen.   I know USAS events always have great manuals, great training and are in general, high caliber events.  Too bad I'll be across the pond =(

By the way, your manual link is broken.  Is it the same manual from the first CQB training at the Ranch?

The CQB Manual for the USAS event, August 24, is a new training manual.  It is very important for all personnel who intend on attending this training to familiarize themselves with this material.   Hard copies of the training manual are availble at Game On in Glendale for those who register.  I look forward to sharing this excellent program with some of Arizona's finest players.

Would that be the airliner that "SwatCity" is procuring?  or the one that the group in California uses?

ASOC CQB Training Event!!! -23 Aug 2003
« Reply #12 on: July 22, 2003, 09:06:38 AM »
After several months of training and development, U.S. Airsoft has generated more courses and members. We will be holding events every months on different topics. This is a perfect opportunity for those going to the big events this year.

U.S. Airsoft will be holding a CQB training event at the Cajun House on Sunday, Aug 24, 2003. Mike Simpson, a former U.S. Air Force Security Specialist, has organized this course. We will also have some surprise guests there as well.

To guarantee the highest level of training and fun we are only allowing 30 people to attend this event.

Check out http://usairsoft.org/missions.htm
or http://www.usassoc.com/cqb/ to register.
