Crane stock on an AK AEG

My brother in law just got one of those $98 lancer tactical AKs. I plan on replacing my crane stock with a magpul stock. If i were to give him that crane stock, could he install it on his AK?

If you wanted a Magpul stock, you will have the get the buffer tube like Bob Z Moose said and there are two Magpul stocks to choose from: CTR and MOE stocks. The CTR costs more, because of the friction lock. But besides the friction lock, these stocks are basically the same. It's just personal preference.
