DAYAMN. Full Auto paintball might be a bit much, but Im drooling at the thought of refitting the guns on all those for airsoft and using them as Assault vehicles :D

Well I've drooled over Irene too :)

but I still have one requirement to satisfy. The damn guns must be functional and not just for show, otherwise everything's an APC

Jungle Island just started having Airsoft Events, though on a limited basis. Don't know if they get to use the vehicles though.

If you have ever been to or seen a John Lu event you would know the answer to this statement  :)
Trust me your requirement would be meet. Dave could call one of those the "Debarker"  ;)

Wow...

You know, i always thought it would be cool to have some sort of little vehicle, like a two-seater go-kart... and have one guy drive, passenger shooter, and a man on top manning the M60 or M249.. even a minigun!  I remember seeing something like that, but only for paintball.

Those pics prove to me that there's something WAY better than a little go-kart to play with in a match.  I've heard about Irene, and it amazed me... and MilSim gameplay is one which i've always wanted to play... with these vehicles, all we would need is a lot of people and we got ourselves a nice little war.  I like the idea of having war without death... but to enjoy ourselves and have fun, meet new people.

You have any videos of these in action? I have a bunch of irene videos and apart from seeing the flares, I've never see any vehicle mounted weapons do anything

No mounted airsoft guns at Irene but I'm talking else where.  John Lu does at leat 4 events a year through out the country. Unfortunately, I don't have a video online that I can show you that vehicles do indeed have mounted airsoft mg's. "But dont take my word for it"
Airsoft has grown from those days with cardboard and a pickup truck.

I have a 1946 willys mb jeep, that will soon become an assult vehicle as you said. Right now im in the process of welding a mounting a plate on the frame to accept a pintle pedistal for a .30  .50, or recoilless rifle. Eventually im going to mount my airsoft converted m1919a4 machine gun onto it, for a much more peroid look. :)

Basically right now its identical to this minus the gun of course.

For those who may remember, It was used at op dark harvest.

There are a few of us working on some vehicles, hopefully in the future we will have it as good. I did see 4 m113s loaded on two flatbeds on my wat to vegas... soo tempting to steal...
