I like AEP's, usually you just charge the battery & you're ready to go, no gas/co2 used. Basically they are ready-to-go all the time and are often very cheap (in a good sense).

However I prefer gas, just a little more fun for me. I would still use an AEP any day if given the opportunity.

I can never justify buying an aep when the galaxy mp5ks are so cheap and probably will work better for a sidearm role.

Except its not a sidearm....

Pros:  Extremely quiet, very reliable, work in any temperature, lower cost than gas pistols.
Cons:  Limited parts availability, not as "fun" as a GBB, limited power output.

Right now, I'm sitting on 7+ G18's, 2 MP7's, 2 Skorp's, 2 M93's, a Mac-10, and a partridge in a pair tree.  I'd take them over a Galaxy MP5k any day.

You forgot a few cons there Mace.... Limited ammo capacity (compared to aegs), limited FPS. Apparently MP7s, Scorpions, and MAC-10s are sidearms but an mp5k is not.

I've got ~100rd magazines for my AEP's just like my AEG's.  If you are talking highcaps, then you are doing it wrong anyways.  G18, M92/M93, USP, Desert Eagle, etc are all sidearms.

how is a mp5k not considered a side arm, yet a mp7 is? The mp5k is no bigger than a mp7.

It's not.

I know reading is hard and all but no where did I say an MP7 is a sidearm.  That said, you can holster an MP7.

And I would.  That does not mean I consider them sidearms.

Considering this is an side arm related thread, and you are posting all about AEP's, it would appear to someone you are referring them to side arm AEP's.

Who says it's a sidearm thread?  The OP never specifically said he's looking for a sidearm.

I liked my G18  until the battery crapped out, and I like the feeling of the GBB Baretta, but once I do that LiPo conversion for my Glock, being able to use a pistol full auto in CQB.... I may like that better.   ::)

I have a CYMA P226 AEP, but my battery is dead and the magazine jams. Need new of both. Either buying that, or a new mag for my KWA USP45 because the mag I have for that atm is leaky.
