Are you going to be playing a support role or a riflemen?

Well if ur planning on using the G36 as a backup in game, I would take the stock off[easy to do] and I WOULDNT get a box/drum mag. Trust me, they get heavy,[I run an MG36 setup] Im guessing the drum mag is around 65? if so you can get like 5 midcaps for the same price on airsoftgi I belive. But thats totally up to you, I just thought Id throw that out there for you to consider.

if your a "sniper" and looking for a backup, i would say go with something really small and light.  If your a "sniper" you will want to be concealed and not so bulky.  So like an MP5 K i would imagine, would be great. a drum is big and bulky and will slow you down, plus if its a side arm, you should only be using it very rarely.

Yeah, if your looking for a sniper backup maybe even a glock. I know that they do tend to have mechanichal problems, but a good gas glock will last you a long time, can shoot in full-auto, and is even smaller than an MP5K. But if you don't wanna opt for the pistol then I'd say the MP5K is a good choice too.

Some of the gas guns are great, the KJW M1911 from ASGI is great from what ive heard.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.p ... ts_id=3789

And it has the option to use a CO2 cartridge, Im sure each mag can get alot of each one, and I think it comes with 2 mags.

get the jg. Well is not that great and will break soon. the jg will last longer, for a lil more. As a bit of advice dont get the drum mag. theres no need for it as a rifleman. just get like 8 midcaps.

Listen to this guy. Buying an G36c for a backup in a sniper loadout will be a big mistake. Especially with the drum mag.
Stick with an MP5K. I know a guy who has one and it shoots great.

or get a MP7 and a thigh holster.  You have semi and full auto and they are decent guns.
