Upgrading an SRC SR4?

Hey all, rather new to airsoft and looking to buy my first AEG.  I've been hearing that the SR4 is pretty damned nice, I've fired one and I liked it, but it's like the only aeg I've fired.  Point is, anybody know much about it?  Good, bad, etc.

Also, what would I want to look at upgrading on it when I get the opportunity?  And does anybody know if/how I'd be able to fit a mock silencer to it?  Just think it'd look cool.  8)   Thanks.

There hasn't been to many problems with them.  they are built quite well, and are, from what it seems, ideal for upgrading.  I suggest picking that up.  Less that Tokyo Marui, shoots harder, and has some nice features.  Quality.

  You'll probably need a silencer adapter, but I can't say for sure ifthey will fit on the SR4.  Probably also depends on the type of silencer as well.  I would imagine though it wouldn't be much of an issue.  From what I've seen, SRC seems to be keeping pretty much to the standards set by TM.

One of those ICS Quick Detach Silencers would fit, there pretty nice too, if you order it from Japan it'll have the foam in there and actualy make the shot more quiet. Just make sure you get one for a M4, alot of those are MP5's dont get the wrong thing.

Thanks guys, appreciate it.  Gonna have to do some looking around to find where I can hopefully pick up the silencer a little cheaper  :(

They got a Delta Silencer out for 20 bucks, you'd have to buy you own foam and possibly a thread adapter, that would be the cheapest way.

The SR4 has the standard 14mmX1 counter clocwise threading on the end of the outer barrel. Any supressor threaded the same will fit.
I recently got one of these guns and it is as close to a Marui as you can get.

btw it will fit a CCW screw on silencer. i currently dont have the SRC, but i took my p90 silencer and popped on my TM m733.

if ya want to make an order for parts from WGC iam game, iam in need of a few more parts for my m60.

BTW whats the need for mags, grab, use, dump the gun, then use another. Iam a walking armory.

if this SRC is the new M4 at JT, and not to disuade, but you can get an ICS full metal with new design gear box for $290 shipped from Airsplat. Since you plan on upgrading anyway..

if I'm wrong, then someone shoot me...  or maybe not....

You know what I'll say about that thing.  Its way too much fun. ;)

I like the SRC its pretty cheap and apparently pretty darn accurate.  I just dropped a scope on it and was amazed how tight my groupings were.

Just remember to check the mech box. I have a friend who bought one and the gears didn't have any lube on them. And yes it was right out of the box new.


Other than that SRC's are good guns. I have used his a few time, for target shooting for fun, and they work great.

SRC vs. TM/Star mag compatibility

I understand that this thread is over a month old, however, I am not yet allowed to start my own thread, and have a question pertaining to the topic at hand. I am looking into puchasing a SRC M4/SR4 however, I was also looking into picking up some STAR M4 magazines to match. I have heard that it is pretty much an exact copy of the Tokyo Mauri version, but wanted to confirm that Star mags do in fact fit/work well with this gun. Thank you for your help in advance.

the SRC M4's are pertty much direct clones of TM. parts/mags are interchangable. Example. I had a broken upper receiver for my TM m4 and i bought a 20 dollar SRC body NIB and it all fit exactly.
