Airsoft Items FOR SALE / G&P SR-16
« on: August 14, 2011, 11:29:21 AM »
clearing out some space and selling a few things, would perfer to meet/drop off at gearbox however I could meet in the Scottsdale/phoenix area as well if it was convenient for me, but not looking to drive 50 miles across the valley (I live in tempe)

G&P SR-16 URX. Works fine, Comes with a 9.6V G&P Battery, used a lot, but no problems that i know of, the only thing is the original spring in the buttstock that lets you adjust the position came out in a game, replaced it, but it doesn't move very smoothly, but still locks into place fine.  - $200

Moved and this is just sitting at home taking up space in a closet, Is the last of my extra airsoft stuff that i never use, as such am selling for pretty cheap. that being said this isn't a chairty giveaway so please no stupid lowball offers, I wont even bother to reply. In terms of trades I'm really not looking to get more airsoft stuff as the point of this is to get rid of some extra stuff. That being said I am not completley closed to trades, but once again please no lowball/stupid trades (I dont care how much you say your shit is worth). I'm not really looking for anything in specific, but offer anyways worst i can do is say no.

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / KWA M4 RIS, KWA USP for sale
« on: November 10, 2010, 03:28:29 PM »
Like always cash is king, however if you have trades feel free to offer up, worst i can do is say no.
I am at ASU MWF and can meet at gearbox usually sometime after noon on those days, could possibly meet T/TH depending on work schedule

For sale I have a KWA M4, have had the gun for a while now, and have put a lot of rounds through it, and no, I don't know the exact number... The gun is completley stock with the exception of the RIS which i think was put on by ASGI (bought it from them). This is the one flaw with the gun, the RAILs work fine and get into place, but it is a really really tight fit (I have to tap on the bottom with a blunt object usually in order to get it back into place). The upside however is that there is almost 0 barrel wobble. Like i said all stock, in its current state the battery goes in the PEQ (included) on the rails.

that is the gun, will post pics later tonight when i get home
$220, $250 with mag pull MOE stock (no buttpad). No battery/charger (although if you want a baterry i have a few minis i could sell for cheap with the gun)

Next is a KWA USP GBB, purchased around the same time i bought the KWA, got it from gearbox, Not sure if it is NS2 or NS1, comes with one mag. Mag could probably use work, sometimes doesnt hold all the gas (very common problem with all GBB mags)

^ $80, gun has only 1 mag, can throw in an cheapo condor Drop leg holster if you want it

Makes me want to buy one when they come out, how much do you think they will retail for?

on a side note will the civilian HK 416 every be available? I know it was comming out next year last year, and do you think there is any chance of HK just selling the upper by itslef?

General Off-Topic Discussion / Xbox live at asu?
« on: August 22, 2009, 05:59:17 PM »
Have been trying to get xbox live to work all day, but no luck. Im assuming it has something to do with the login required to access the ASU network. When you connect it redirects you to a login site where you login with your asu id. any way to get xbox to connect?

Airsoft Items FOR SALE / TM ak57 and mp5
« on: April 17, 2009, 01:10:37 PM »
Tried selling these a while back, but no lock so thought I'd give it another go.

So what I have Is a TM MP5 RIS, It needs a little PEQ box or foregrip that can hold a battery, The adjustable stock sometimes colapses back in when to much force is put on it (only if you angle it weird), and one of the selector switches is missing (the left had side one), . Sometimes the semi and safe mode dont work if you pull to hard on the trigger while in safe it will sometimes shoot full auto, don't know why, but Ive had the gun for a while. Comes with 200rd high cap and Ill throw in a 3000 round drum-mag i have fir it.

Second is a TM AK47, just like the MP5 is all stock and has a few cosmetic problems, First off it doesnt have the bolt carrier charghing handle cover thing, the spring never really worked so I took it out a while back so I could adjust the hop-up eaiser, I have since lost the part, Second is the buttstock, I dont have the screws that hold the buttstock to the gun and I am missing the cover that goes over the end of the buttstock. Other than those cosmetic issues the gun shoots fine and has never had any problems. Comes with the standerd metal TM mag and a plastic high cap mag.

These have just been sitting around for a while and i don't think i will use them, Ill take any reasonable offer or trade(if i like it). I live in North scottsdale/fountain hills, unless you can meet an my house I would rather meet at gearbox,

Real Firearms / 2009 NRA convention in Pheonix

Phoenix picked by NRA
'09 session likely to draw 65,000

Phoenix has landed the largest convention in its history, mostly due to a $600 million expansion of the Phoenix Convention Center, a new downtown hotel and a long-standing relationship with the National Rifle Association.

NRA officials on Friday said Phoenix will host their May 2009 annual conference, an event expected to draw as many as 65,000 people. The delegates will collectively spend as much as $94.3 million during their stay for rental cars, hotel accommodations and meals.

The NRA convention is a key victory for Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and other officials who pushed hard to get public financing for the convention center expansion and a 1,000-room, $350 million Sheraton hotel. The goal was to garner larger conventions such as the NRA. Before the expansion plans, the largest convention in Phoenix drew 15,000 attendees.

"There were naysayers who doubted whether Phoenix and the state should be investing in a convention center and hotel," Gordon said. "The investment we all promised would pay back is paying back, and with dividends."

Scott White, executive vice president of the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau, said that without those projects, the NRA "never would have considered Phoenix."

The NRA had a convention in Phoenix more than 10 years ago, but that one was far smaller. The long-standing relationship between the NRA and Phoenix officials provided an added boost.

'Working relationship'

"We certainly appreciate our working relationship with the mayor and his office," Andrew Arulanandam, director of public affairs for the NRA, said.

Gordon said that the association has given its considerable lobbying muscle to Phoenix.

He asked NRA President Sandra Froman in October 2005 for help after the Phoenix Fire Department's urban search and rescue team was suspended from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for traveling with armed guards during Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

"They helped introduced legislation to authorize police officers to carry firearms to protect the rescuers," Gordon said. "They lobbied Congress on our behalf and the pressure helped."

The association stood by Gordon in 1999 when he was working on Shannon's Law, a law that makes it a felony to discharge a weapon in the city. It also worked with the city to protect the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in north Phoenix from encroachment.

There is $3 million in the city's $878.5 million bond program earmarked to improve the shooting range. Gordon said it was a "way of saying 'thank you' to the NRA for their partnership."

Voters will decide on the bond package on March 14.
City officials are convinced that other large conventions will follow the NRA.

"This is going to bring a national focus to Phoenix," Gordon said. "Other large conventions follow the leaders, and the NRA is a leader."

Phoenix beat out about a dozen other cities competing for the 2009 convention.

The convention center expansion will triple the center space to nearly 900,000 square feet by early 2009, providing the latest technology and enough space for the association's more than 500 exhibitors and to accommodate about 3,000 people in banquet rooms. The expansion puts Phoenix's center among the 20 largest in the country.

The association also looks at cities, like Phoenix, that are "friendly to the rights of law-abiding gun owners," Arulanandam said.

General Off-Topic Discussion / The World's Biggest Diamond Heist

http://www.wired.com/politics/law/magaz ... ntPage=all

This sounds like a straight up copy of Oceans 11, but no movie, no story on dateline or anything like that, whats more they even cought 4 of the 5 people that [allegedly] commited the crime, the theft was so good that all the police got was circumstantial evidence, still enough to convict the 4 people, oh and they still dont know where all the stolen goods went; an estimated $100million stimate( so its at least like $300M). Kind of a long story, but very much worth the read
