Post by: Harley on August 06, 2003, 09:04:19 PM: Vell had mentioned that the Airforce was coming out with a new BDU set. He thought it was supposed to be in the MARPAT design, but that looks more like urban tiger stripes to me.

It's been pretty much desert or urban fighting for some years now. Guess we'll have to add another BDU to our collections. I've got almost as much money tied up in BDU's as I do my M4.

I think its more likely that since their testing them, they didn't have time to get the stripes sewn on before the picture shoot. Otherwise they're all basic Airmen judging from these pictures. I know when I was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, when ever they were doing uniform testing they didn't bother to sew on the stripes or use the collar stripes either.
