Amateur Film Showing here in Tucson
« on: June 14, 2005, 10:10:30 AM »
So the film is finally ready to go and will be shown at the Loft theatre this Thurs. (16th) from 6 pm - 8pm. The Loft is located on Speedway between Alvernon and Country Club on the north side of the road. Here's a map: http://www.google.com/maps?li=lmd&hl=en ... n&ie=UTF-8

Anyhow, the invitation is open to all who are interested. We're charging $3 a person to help cover the costs of renting the theater. Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to log on and answer them.

I have windows media player 9 and I am UNABLE to run the Vietnam WMV from the link. I even downlaoaded and saved it, and it still would not play.
Would love to drive down to ToooSoohn to see it, but would like to look at the preview first.
How long is the  theatre movie?
Thanks

Huh, don't know why it won't play on your computer. Can anyone help him?

As for running time, it is 67 minutes long. We'll be doing a brief (like 5 min.) intro and then taking about 15-20 min. afterwords for a Q&A session.

Your computer sucks get a new one. You most likely don't have the right codec...whats the compression codec used? It is most likely DIVX or XVID...

both:(and then some)

If you do have the right codec installed, you may want to remove and reinstall it as it could be corrupted/damaged.  :)

For those who can't make it have you thought about maybe burning it to DVD and sell it for the same price as the admission or the cost of the DVD disks?

I would definately be interested in buying a copy.

Yeah, I'd love a copy if I couldn't make it to the theater.

I will definetly be coming to see this with my wife tomorrow, I also contacted my team to let them know so hopefully I've got a good number of people coming.

As for the DVD this would be really cool if you guys could get one together, though I'd hate to rush you guys on it, since this is a local thing it would be neat to include things like a making of to go with it as well as bloopers.  I'd be willing to pay a decent amount if it had extras.
