Mike, is this game rigged to the outcome of the "Rangers?" ..Is it truly a "game" where the OPFOR can possibly win, or is this an "adventure, re-enactment", or whatever as in past MTT events?

Chip to answer your questions:

A. This is not a game.  This is a mil-sim adventure allowing participants to play various roles based upon a historic battle.
B. The event is not rigged.  Participants must engage each other in mock combat using airsoft equipment where hits count. If you fail to hit your enemies, I am sure they will impede your progress.
C. Nobody will win this mil-sim adventure. Winning is for games like football or baseball. Depending upon various factors, such as the skill level, intensity, team work, etc...either faction has the potential to be successful in accomplishing their objectives.
D. The objective  for the Rangers is to complete a set of tasks.
E. The objective for the OPFOR is to provide resistance against the Rangers.
F. If the rangers fail to complete their objectives, they will be given another opportunity to retry if time allows.
G. If winning is important to you, may I suggest DO NOT attend this event as you will be sorely disappointed, as  most of the attendees will be busy having fun running through a set of missions trying to accomplish their goals while being shot at while you are busy chasing your tail trying to figure out how to win this darn event.  May I suggest you attend some other venue where winning is important and everything else is secondary.

Also, if winning is important to  you, why didn't you show up to Operation Vigilant Resolve? There were plenty of opportunities for you to win at this event.  You were one of the first people to sign up for that "game" and yet I didn't even get a courtesy cancellation from you.  You left the other insurgents high and dry, which pretty much helped sabotage the dynamics of the game, but you are really good at that, so I wouldn't expect any less from you.  I don't even know why your asking questions about an event that costs money, because I really doubt you'd show up, given you don't even bother to show up to a free one.

Okay. First, thanks Victor, Mike? for answering my question. It's not going to be a game, and that's fine. People can decide if that appeals to them or not.

Now, per the rest.. I have been a supporter of the Sandbox for some time. What I posted about how nice the venue is on the last game thread stands. You all worked your asses off to make the place, and I hope you make your money back.

I did not show up last game. I have a heart disease that gives me "good days and bad days". It happened that the day of the game  I wasn't able to function long without passing out.. Bad thing to happen out in the middle of Bumfuck Nowhere and the Air Evac would have been BIG $$$, dude. I find your snark  outta line, but I don't really care. I play where I can, when I can, and that's the way it is.

May I suggest that airsoft is really not the activity for you, especially not at our field due to its remoteness. As for the snark remark, please understand that your original post smacks of sarcasm and works to undermine the efforts and concepts that Mike and I have thoughtfully and carefully designed into our events. Thanks for your support, but with a post like that, who needs enemies!

As the title of our new endeavor implies, Marauders Adventure Group, is about living out an adventure utilizing airsoft equipment as one of the many means of having an outdoor combat experience. If our events were about winners and losers, the name of the new company would probably be Marauders Competitive Airsoft Games...

Marauders Adventure Group is intended to provide participants a military simulation adventure for customers who appreciate a higher level of "game" design, sophistication, props, special effects, use of vehicles, so that no matter the outcome of the event, they truly come away with an experience that they would not typically find a regular airsoft venue.  This event is not intended for the typical AA player, but rather someone who is looking for something bigger and more complex, something to challenge, yet reward them for taking their "game" to the next level of military simulation.  I  must stress this over and over again, as Marauders Adventure Group is not for the weak, inexperienced, half-hearted airsoft player, but rather someone who longs to do something more than just Death Match, Capture the Flag, Attackers vs Defenders...

As you wish, Good luck with your business. I didn't mean to be sarcastic, but the fact that Marauders is not running a "game" should be out here for players who are/aren't looking for that.

I enjoy the game, and hope to play as long as I can.

Insurgents still got love for Mooncruiser.  Since we know and play with him often we are understanding of his situation.

This is the exact douchebaggory I talk about and why I refuse to support Marauders....

So much fail by OP I'm lost for words and can't believe people still give you their money. To think I was talked into coming out for the next game by someone that just attended your last game a week ago.

You just lost any future business that I may give or bring.

Do people not see the hypocrisy here? Victor you specifically changed your post because you realized what you said was terrible.

Don't support a group/company that is going to treat their patrons this way.. This is absolutely terrible.

I heard about plenty of the problems and the way patrons were treated at the Nov 2nd game. I myself would never tolerate that kind of crap.

Not to mention..  You charged people after you met 100 players for a event. What does that tell you? I think people protect you Victor because they don't see you for who you really are. You are just like Mike....

I have never supported Marauders I will continue on my path.. Good Riddance.
