Are there any sun glasses which you all consider safe for outdoor games.
Just tired of hot constricting googles but eyes are kinda important

Oakley makes some good ones, there about 70 bucks, and they're ballistic rated.

Anything with ANSI-Z87 stamped on the lens or frames. You can get a pair safety/shooting sunglasses at Wal-Mart for about $5.

If they aren't sealed, they're dangerous, period.

Keep in mind ANZI Z87 rating is different for goggles, glasses, and face shields.

ANSI Z87.1-2003 rating means that goggles will survive a 1.04gram 6.35mm steel bb shot at it at 250fps from 50 inches away at 20 different impact points, or approx. 3J or 570fps w/ .20g.

Glasses (vs goggles) that are z87.1-2003 rated only have to survive a 150fps shot for the same rating.

That is only 1.08J, or roughly 345fps with a .20g bb.

Just a warning...

That's a bit scary. Doesn't sound as if glasses are actually that safe

Best advice: Flakjak Arena goggles. Pop in the tinted lens, win all day long. Cannot get them to fog. Wore them along with a plastic PSAGT helmet during Red Storm III and the set up couldn't have been more comfortable. Best goggles hands down.

The ESS profile Turbofan is the best purchase I've ever made for airsoft. I can't get them to fog no matter how much I sweat, and they're GI issue, so they are compatible with all helmets out there.

If you are still looking for sun glasses, I use Oakley Flak Jackets, with the xlj lenses they rap around quite a bit. I have not had any issues whatsoever, just be sure to have some sort of lower face protection.

I usually wear Oakley M-Frames and I've been hit multiple times in the lenses, the worst was when a friend hit me at near point blank with a shot from his GBB. The lens had a big crack in it, but it was still in one piece. I also have ESS Turbofans for the big ops and also a pair of Wiley X SG1s, they all do the job fine.

I've been hit several times with regular old cheap sunglasses and only got a crack once. Still not the safest things to wear but they work for me.

I refuse to wear cheap eye pro. Why take the chance?

I wear Revision Desert Locust Goggles, with the thermal lens. ($25 on ebay, another $25 for the thermal lens on Amazon) They make other stuff too though. If you're after safety, def. take a look at Revision. Also, I think they have been military issued, because you can find them surplus on ebay pretty easily.
