Decreasing revolver fps?
« on: January 06, 2013, 07:18:21 PM »
I just got a WG revolver a few days ago, and love to use it in combat.  However, because it has no hopup, it is only good at close ranges but I feel bad because of how hot it shoots.

So, does anyone know of a way to decrease the fps on this gun?  I haven't seen any low fps nozzles or anything of the like anywhere.

i could probly make something to reduce the fps. if it was not a co2 gun you could use a weaker gas to get your desired results. a nozzel to reduce the fps probly wouldnt be hard to make on my lathe

Yeah, it's co2.  How much do you charge?

Heavier bbs; personal experience shows about a 20fps drop per .5g added. The only problem is that heavier bbs are more expensive, but do offer better accuracy.

this is the wrong thing to do. heavier bb's may lower the fps but it does not lower the energy behind the bb. and if are caught doing this kind of stuff at a game there are consiquences, it is concidered cheating.

yep, you sacrifice velocity and are in turn able to hold the energy for a longer distance. aka better accuracy/range. that is the wrong way to lower muzzle velocity...

in a perfect world, pre-game power measurements would not be measured in FPS, but actual energy (joules)
see you space cowboy...
