Local Games Listing/RSVP / OP: West Wing Sunday Jan 27 *Registration Open

Operation: West Wing commemorates one of the opening battles of Operation Iraqi Freedom that was fought by a sole platoon of US Army Rangers.  The rangers were assigned to destroy a number of SCUD launchers that were positioned near the border of Jordan.  It is believed that Saddam Hussein intended to launch missiles into Israel when the United States invaded Iraq.  The Ranger platoon entered Iraq from a secret base in Jordan called the West Wing and successfully assaulted and destroyed their targets after an intense 4 hour battle.

Operation: West Wing is being held at the Marauders Tactical Training Urban Assault Course.  This forty acre adventure field features large mock buildings, trenches, and bunkers.  The adventure takes place on Sunday, January 27 (9 am – 5 pm).  

The game will feature:

Rangers vs Saddam’s Fedayeen
Three 90 – 120 Minute Missions
Vehicles and Mock Buildings
Smoke Grenades and Simulated IED’s
Airsoft Swap Meet
Prize Raffle with over $500 in Prizes

Registered players can join us for a free day of training missions on Saturday, Jan 26.  Players can then camp out and participate in some night operations and training.

Southwest Paintball has become the stage for Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Join us all summer long as Marauders Airsoft hosts games based on battles taking place in Ramadi Iraq.  Join the US and Iraqi forces (desert camouflage) in combat against Insurgents (woodland and civilian clothing) in a game that spans all of the combat fields.  

Players must bring sealed protective eye wear.  Full masks are available with admission.

There will NOT be an airsoft swap meet at the game on July 9th.

This is a great location for airsoft as it has seven fields featuring an old town, a castle, ship, and a giant field with towers and trenches. TIMES: 9 am – 4 pm

LOCATION:  Phoenix International Security Group Training Center      Near 23rd Avenue and Northern, Phoenix, AZ

GUESTS: The K-9 Detection Program is open to individuals who want to learn about the methods used to train explosive and patrol K-9 units. The training program is limited to 16 guests.

ADMISSION:  $40 for guests registered before June 20/$50 after June 20, 2006
Lunch is included with registration.

Phoenix International Security Group is hosting a six hour K-9 Detection Training Program.  The class is being conducted by Phoenix International Security Group and K9 Security Services.   Guests who attend will have the opportunity to participate and learn about multiple topics that include:

RECRUITS: Marauders Airsoft Boot Camp is open to adults and minors who want to participate in a 30 hour tactical training and gaming adventure.  The training program is limited to 24 recruits.

ADMISSION:  $50 for recruits registered before June 13/ $75 after June 13, 2006

Marauders Airsoft is hosting a two-day (30 hour) airsoft tactical training event.  The event is being sponsored by Phoenix International Security Group, Southwest Paintball, and SoftAir Depot.   The event will feature instructors with real world military experience.  Recruits who attend will have the opportunity to participate and learn about airsoft tactics and events that include:

May 20 Southwest Paintball Airsoft Games (2 – 7 pm)

Next games at SWPB are on Saturday May 20.  Remember to bring any old gear or guns you may want to sell.  We will be setting up a mini Airsoft SWAP meet.  

We are also concluding the Airsoft Challenge at Southwest Paintball.  Players have a chance to compete for prizes (money and gear) in a tactical shooting competition.  All the rules will be explained at the game.   Here is a brief summary of the event.

Players will navigate a shooting obstacle course with limited ammunition
Players must hit targets before moving to the next obstacle
Upon completion of the course, a time will be recorded
Player with the lowest time at the end of the Airsoft Challenge (last day is May 20) will win a cash prize
Compete in the Airsoft Challenge on May 13, and 20th
Use any pistol or AEG (limit 30 BB’s)
Players may compete as many times as they want in an attempt to get the lowest time (each attempt for $1)

The field is located near 200th Avenue and Bell Road. Minors are required to wear full paintball masks. Adults are required to wear sealed goggles (no shooting glasses.)

April 30 (1 pm – 5 pm) $30
The training class will provide airsoft players with an introduction to individual and team tactical training.  We will be covering a large number of topics.  Some of these include:  

Weapon Safety  
Weapon Proficiency (Pistol/AEG Operation and Firing Positions)  
Team Formation (4 man team tactics)
Team Communication
Team Movement  Dynamic and Deliberate Entries  
2 & 4 man room clearing  
Barricaded Individual Scenario

Note that only 8 spots are available for this class.  A carpool is available from Softair Depot at 12:00 noon to the class and returning at 5:45 pm.

Come to SoftAir Depot on Saturday March 18th from 9 - 10 am for a free AirSoft Clinic.  Presentation will include:

• Introduction to airsoft
• Airsoft weapon safety
• Airsoft game safety
• Legal consequences of airsoft misuse
• Airsoft marksmanship skills
• Local and national games

We will also be introducing a new team specifically designed for minors. Come learn about the new team and events that are planned for the local airsoft community.

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Airsoft IED Class April 30

This four hour program introduces airsoft players that participate in high level military airsoft simulation games to Airsoft IED’s.  Players will develop knowledge about airsoft road side bombs, suicide bombers, and anti-personnel devices.  Students will develop knowledge and skills by participating in:

•   Introduction to IED's
•   Components of Airsoft IEDs'
•   Common Tactics and Use of Airsoft IED's
•   Detection and Response to Airsoft IED's
•   Render Safe Procedures for Airsoft IED's
•   IED Scenarios

The instruction will combine real world and airsoft knowledge about IED tactics and response. The program was designed by real world explosive ordinance personnel.  No classified information will be discussed.  

Training is conducted at a private facility located near 23rd Avenue and Northern in Phoenix, AZ.

Class is $30.  Register at Jungle Toy (35th Avenue and Northern) or SoftAir Depot (69th Street and Shea).

This five hour class introduces airsoft players to the proper use of airsoft sniper equipment and tactics.  This program explores the appropriate use of snipers in airsoft games through multiple exercises and drills.  Students will participate in:

•   Sniper equipment selection
•   Fundamentals of marksmanship
•   Tactical use of snipers in airsoft games
•   Individual movement techniques
•   Reconnaissance tactics
•   Long distance firing exercises
•   Field exercises
•   Missions based on real world record sniper engagements

Participants are encouraged to have an airsoft weapon capable of firing at over 400 fps.

Training is conducted at Southwest Paintball, located near 200th Avenue and Bell Road.   Program is $40.  Players may stay and play at SW Paintball until 8 pm.  

Those who wish to play at the field may arrive at 2:30 and pay $20.

United Peacekeeper Competition is being held at the Tactical Airsoft Center in Southern California.  Teams of 2 – 6 players will be given a scenario on six different fields that will test your skills and tactics under stressful and timed conditions.  The opposition consists of event officials.  The scenarios include:

•   Hostage Rescue
•   Explosive Ordinance Disposal of Terrorist Bombs
•   Executive Protection
•   Mine Fields
•   Rescue a Wounded Team Mate

Registration is $75 per player and is due by March 15.
