airsoft flashlight
« on: March 13, 2009, 12:36:21 AM »
Hey for my flashlight i use a k2 flashlight from samsclub.  They come in a pack of 2 for only 30 bucks.  They use 3 tripple a batteries but these babies put out a ton of light.  They put out 150 lumens of amazing white light which is unheard of for that price.  The battery life is really good.  The shell is full aluminum and is very heavy duty.   With this light you can trace your rounds and light up a whole tree from a good distance.  Its also very good at spotting people.  I highly recommend it.  Two 150 lumen lights for 30 bucks? thats a steal

I actually bought one of said 2-packs last year (or was it two years ago?).  They ARE exceptionally bright lights for the price, but the build quality, despite being thick metal, leaves something to be desired, particularly the internal electronics.  I kept one in my gun bag, and just recently pulled it out to use it, only to discover that at some point, the internals detonated into about 10 different pieces.  As far as I can tell, it's unrepairable.  However, the other one is still going strong.  I'm not sure if the one was just a lemon, or what.  Still, even if only one out of two is good, $30 still isn't a bad price for how bright they are, and they ARE still decent quality.   Although I guess at that point, I'd just run down to Target and pick up an Inova instead, but.... That's just me.

One of these days, I'm going to get off my lazy butt (on my day off), take some night pictures and do a half-decent review of my many flashlights...  Eventually.  Or so I keep telling people. lol

Every day I have to wade through mountains of stupid posts on forums by kids who feel it necessary to share their personal life on the internet like they think we care.

Yeah it seems like you got a lemon.  Not sure if you have the exact same one but i own 8 of these lights and they al work wonderfully.  You may be wondering why i havae so many and its because i have an electric bicycle that i ride around to run errands and i use 2 on the bike and 2 on my helmet and my dad has a set too!  These are great though i just wish they made them in black.  Sams club has a very friendly return policy so im sure you could return it without a problem!!
