1999.5 Audi A4 B5 Quattro 1.8t highly, highly custom
« on: June 28, 2013, 05:18:07 PM »
Hey everyone, decided its time to start slimming down my car collection. This has been in my possession for about 4 years now, I bought it from the original owner. I have almost all receipts for all work and custom parts on the car from the time it was new, including the original window sticker.

Black with tan leather interior. These are a few month old pics, I'll try to snap some more recent pics when I get some time next week, including interior shots.

It has $2500 custom made two-piece BBS RKII wheels with bridgestone potenza re760 sport tires
2 piece Stoptech big brake kit
Stainless steel brake lines
H&R stage 5 adjustable coilovers
Neuspeed turbo-back exhaust system
Boston Acoustics speakers, bose amps, alpine deck that color matches the dash and lights
All rubber bushings replaced with polyurethane
Aluminum subframe reinforcements
Short shift kit and sparco shift knob
Custom RS4 bumper installed
9 lbs lightweight flywheel and ceramic clutch

I have so, so, so many more mods, these are just off the top of my head. Roughly $15k in receipts over the years of upgrades and mods.

Included but not installed:

Stage 3 turbo kit including headers, turbo, ecu, custom injectors which will give the car roughly 400whp
CPP custom billet adjustable control arms

I probably have more stuff in boxes, I don't even remember all the spare parts and upgrade parts I still have in boxes around in my garage. All will be included.

The car makes a good daily driver for an enthusiast, but with 18" wheels and the aggressive race H&R coilovers, its best suited for those who like aggressive suspension setups or for someone who wanted to Auto cross. The suspension in the photos is its mid-way setting roughly... it can be raised about another inch and a half, and lowered about another inch.

The good:
Most of the electronics gremlins that happen with the B5 chassis have been taken care of.
Both front window regulators recently replaced.
Oil changed religiously with Mobil 1 Euro 0w40 Synthetic and Bosch filters.
A/c blows cold, heat blows hot.
Runs, idles correctly, starts easily.
Turbo spools nicely.

The less good:
Sunroof needs a new motor
Vacuum leak from a hose that runs from the gas tank to the charcoal canister
Few minor dings in the paint, paint chips on the front bumper.
Cup holder in center dash doesn't pop out.
It's an overall good condition 14 year old used car.

Overall a great running car, I use it every so often to commute about just to keep it lubricated, though for the most part I drive it less and less. I just am about to finish my long term project car and need the drive way space for it, and frankly I'm getting old and I'm starting to prefer the stock sports suspension on my other cars. I haven't ever tracked the car, nor had the original owner he told me, although it is built almost tailor made in fact, for auto cross.

Over $15,000 in mods, buy the whole car for $6,500 OBO.

Car still for sale, had many interested parties but no one has had any money.

Open to reasonable offers, big turbo kit is going to be installed in the car soon.

After it's installed, I may or may not keep it and sell something else instead.
